Crap parking

Does anyone else suffer from this kind of inconsiderate pr!ck? Scoob is on the end so can't go back and has been there all day, as has the silver fiesta. The next door neighbour has come back and abandoned the Fusion in the middle.

Agreed it's a shocking bit of parking, they clearly approached it with the "I am going to park outside my house because I don't do walking" attitude. On the flip side the further people park from the Scoob the better, my car is littered with 'inconsiderate pr!ck' marks.

We quite often get inconsiderate twerps overhanging our drive, making it really awkward to get on and off the drive.

The worst bit of it is that there's room not to do it, they're just selfish and thoughtless.

Red Baron 30-04-2016 06:31 PM

Believe it or not I've nipped out in the past and he's gone out and moved the car forward a space so he's on the end. You can't see it from the photo but that area is on a curve so reverse parking is a bit awkward and from what I've witnessed reverse parking is not one of his strong points so he likes to be on the end. Managed to fit everything in though once I'd taken the battery off the Clio to jump start the Scoob which is now back in the garage on charge, the battery is back on the Clio and is parked in front of the garage, the Beetle did fit in the gap to the right and the Passat is nestled nicely on the end. Not sure where he'll be parked in the morning though.

Oh, and the green micra belongs to someone who lives in the next road and was dumped there off the back of a recovery truck about a month ago, unfortunately it's still taxed and MOTD.

Red Baron 30-04-2016 06:40 PM

And I haven't parked the Passat annoyingly close on purpose, there is a junction to the left and the Scoob was nearly on the corner as that was the closest I could get earlier due to where the Fusion was this morning.

ha ha ha someone else knows my pain , the morons in my road make 5 spaces into 3 every day, when Ihad my landrover I might have given them a gentle nudge to get in or out but now I'm terrified they might do it to me ,that's karma!

lockheed 30-04-2016 07:18 PM

ps you could get a jumbo jet in any one of those spaces

Scott.T 30-04-2016 08:21 PM

I'd double yellow the lot on that bend as have nearly come to blows on many occasion. The fence next to the peugeot kills the sighting round the corner too....but I'll hang on to the yellow paint until after you move eh!!!!

iPond 30-04-2016 08:25 PM

Hate people that park like this, drives me mad.

You should just get all your cars out and fill every space!

Red Baron 30-04-2016 08:26 PM

Yep, he wasn't popular when he put that up, the fiesta and fusion have off road parking spaces but don't use them as it means walking round the corner, no one else is allowed to park in them though.

Banstead Stig 30-04-2016 08:41 PM

This isn't a great angle, nor the worst example I've had, but when he was unloading from the back at the point I needed to get to work I wasn't best pleased.

I bet he has a drive he could park in as well but doesn't want it spoiling his view.

Banstead Stig 30-04-2016 09:21 PM

This chap was working on the house opposite.

All he needed to do was go five feet further on... it's not like there isn't room!

The worst of the locals are the ones behind the offending van to the left (with the C1 on the drive). They encroach on our drive despite having their own.

The one time I was swapping the cars on ours and had to momentarily park opposite (though still offset) their drive, the bloke came out and asked me to move. He got ****ing told!

scotty 30-04-2016 11:20 PM

Hate ****s that block drive ways thank god up here they know the script mind you when i was private renting the house with the garage some **** had the cheek to park on my driveway as they thought no body was in until i walk out told them where to go fecking arseholes lol .

SlimeyLimey 01-05-2016 01:33 AM

You wanna try living opposite a shop, i dont bother parking on my drive anymore as it genuinely caused daily arguments and confrontations with arseholes parking right infront of my drive so they can nip in the shop, or actually go for a tan in the tanning shop... You go from angry > mad > despair > give up. I now park down the road.

Banstead Stig 01-05-2016 06:35 AM

It's a sad state of affairs when you have to give up like that. I completely understand why you have though.

I get annoyed enough with it happening every now and again, but every day would drive me bananas!

munk 01-05-2016 07:09 AM

have weekly arguments with people parking on the "privately owned" grass outside my house to go to the beach...its very obvious thats its private and that people here mantain it people, have even used the neighbours drive way before.. bloody tourists.. i quite enjoy it thou:fight:

Jason7579 01-05-2016 10:07 AM

Happens all the time in my close, and all of the roads around the estate.

The most infuriating part of it here is that as well as inconsiderate drivers taking multiple spaces as above, the amount of times I see people who have left their cars in the communal parking areas when they have an empty residents bay, leaving us who cannot get a bay without a space close by. Also there has been an empty parking bay right outside my house for almost a year yet someone has paid for it! the parking people cannot tell me who owns it, only that it is paid for so nobody else can use it.

555_Si 01-05-2016 10:10 AM

Neighbour parked on my parents driveway and blocked me in once, never did it again, and the moved a few months afterwards. I did ask politly if they could move, but they declined, told them it was going to be a mistake!

iPond 01-05-2016 10:50 AM

I used to rent a flat that was next door to a church that doubled as a nursery during the week. 200 yards down the road was also a school! It was absolute chaos, can't call it inconsiderate parking, it was literally vehicle abandonment! A few of the residents had accidents trying to get in and out of their drives because all the abandoned cars meant there was no visibility of passing traffic.
