Rear Brembos on a classic?

Can anyone tell me, will rear Brembos from a new age STI bolt straight in to the rear of a classic?

nope, just done this conversion, one way to do it is to use Godspeed brembo conversion caliper mount brackets, then either modified sti discs so that the handbrake shoes work, or modified thicker handbrake shoes on sti discs.

to be honest on my bug I didn't even bother converting the rear when I did the fronts. I've only done the classic as I had the rear brembos and it failed mot on handbrake so needed to rebuild everything anyway.

next I am upgrading the rear diff, drive shafts and rear hubs to newage sti, so the brakes will fit straight on, but this upgrade is so that I am ready for a 6 speed box later.

I'm running Newage WRX rear disks which still run the classic sized 170mm drum. So no messing with handbrake shoes or sleeved drums.
The handbrake works as if OE with no issues of shoe expansion and poor handbrake performance which the oversized shoe material can suffer.

My solution requires a touch of backing plate grinding and a slightly different rear bracket dimension, but all the details are in my thread linked above.
Ignore the fact that the WRX disk is smaller than the STi as the Brembo braking performance on the lightweight classic far outperforms the same setup on the heavier Newage.

all depends which classic your talking about

if you had a v4-6 STI RA or Type-R with the R180 rear set-up as std then yes Brembo's bolt straight on

we also do a billet alloy brake adaptor

1999 UK Turbo 2000. Do you do a brake adapt or for that?
