back to the choice newage or classic

Well I'm back on this choice again unfortunately...

1st a bug Sti which i was keen on. built prof, great box,

or

2) this just pooped up and caught my eye, 97 v-limited with only 47,000 on it,

The bug just needs small amount of touch up to become mint.
Classic just needs leaving alone.
ive owned both similar cars in the past but after going threw all the crap in the past 2-3 months im just looking for something to enjoy as loosing faith in these things and starting to look at other makes which i know il regret..

just looking for some advice, can any one spot something out of line or just general advice,

You know what my choice would be .

First port of call would be to ask Scott how much he wants for his👍 Then buy that......

That sounds unfortunate. Probably best to wash it out thoroughly and hope it doesn't get infected.

As to car choice, it's an impossible one to advise on. I toyed for ages with whether to buy a FSTi or a XT with PPP. The people I spoke to made good cases for why each was a good purchase.

In the end, I found a cracking deal on a XT with PPP, but just didn't want to buy it when it came to the crunch. So here I am having owned the FSTi for five years.

The experience with the classic you've just had shows (at least) two things to me. Firstly that the car captured your heart, as you are pissed off with what happened and the things you did and had planned for it were well thought through. Secondly, it was nothing to do with the choice of car that brought about the bad situation; that was bad luck with the car itself and worse luck with the people you had to deal with.

For those reasons, there's nothing to tell me you shouldn't get another classic.

Like I say though, you'll only know when it's time to buy one I suspect!

Depends if you buying to invest ie A RA, or just a toy. I'd wait it out and try and find a early RA or RA STi, then continue what you were doing. Just look at how much older fords are now. £25k for a mk2 RS2000....

When money back , I've found a cracker from a dealer that I'd trust, looks spot on and a limited edition too :)

Yea I know, read loads of negatives from back in the day but they do seem to have turned a corner and stock looks much higher calibre nowadays....... Bare in mind though that most of the negative reviews are probably from people who have never been there and just follow the negatives......

It's the same with any car purchase, doesn't matter where you get it..... Check it out and if it's up to your standards then you buy it....

How do you rate your recent experience? I've seen good and bad about them, but if they had something I was interested in, then I'd go and look and make a decision yes or no.....

scooby doo 15-02-2016 08:04 PM

Ron il explain when see you as I can't say to much yet as no money yet back to me
