Subaru Join The BTCC
 

Exactly as the thread title says, Subaru will join the BTCC next year, with the BMR team running two Levorg Tourers:

Jason Plato and Colin Turkington will drive the Scoobs, so I hope the cars are capable enough for the drivers! More details here:

I'm delighted by this.

I like Plato, but did have to chuckle given the time he (repeatedly) got the arse about turbocharged cars in the BTCC.

He is a great driver... he's just a bit of an arse as well!

Not entirely sure on the choice of platform; the estate really didn't work out well for Honda so I hope its a more inspired choice here. Great to read they will be utilizing the boxer engine though: hope that means there will be some Subaru burble in the BTCC!

Awesome news, like bigemp i've always been a Plato fan. He might be an arse but he add a lot of character to the series :ok:
