Goodyear Eagle F1 variances

I am trying to work out the differences in the Eagle F1 tyres.
Need a set of 4 as my current ones are like hollywood tyres and scream just looking at a corner.

Both of these are Eagle F1 tyres, and same specs.
Why do they look so different?
Whats the difference between these?
Thanks all

Top one is the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, bottom one is the Eagle F1 GS D3

Agreed.

Also to add, the GS D3s are directional whereas the asymmetric 2s are not just inside and outside.

I and several others are using the Asymmetric 2s

Is there much difference in drivability between the two??

I've only experience of the 2s, they are very good.

Especially in wet conditions, it hammered it down when driving down to Lyon on my recent trip and gave a positive feel all the time, they also give excellent grip in the dry, I would not hesitate in getting another set.

thanks for that, will probably stick with that then.
I ran them on my Mondeo ST and they took all i could throw at them.

Thanks for the feedback

The bottom ones are OLD and well passed there sell by date, if you seem them cheap its because people are trying to shift their old stock, they are a good tyre, but not as good as the newer version. I personally would not buy 5 year old rubber.. unless its a suit ;)

I have the 2's and gotta same I am impressed !!! The grip is very good, and wet handling superb..

And you all know how I push the car to its limits at 30-40mph :paranoid::paranoid:

Ryan :ok:

I also have the 2's and would not use anything else. I also get a lot less road noise than I did with the earlier F1.

I'm also running the 2's as well. I had a thread about tyres not too long ago on this forum, have a look on that. I narrowed it down to a few choices then went for the 2's because they offered what I wanted at the best price.

I would love to get these tyres but they dont do the size i need but they do 215/45/18 which is unknown area to me as ive always run with 40's

Also running the F1 asym 2's but on the supra and highly recommend them.... better grip with slightly higher pressures than I'd usually run....not sure if this is characteristic of the tyres or the car?

Will be replacing the Michelin pilots on the juke with the goodyears too

You dont want to run 45 profile on 18s it will be too big, on a classic you should be running 35/18 anyway :o 40/18 on newage

35 are like rubberbands lol but will need to give them a try at some point .

It's the correct size if your running 18's on a classic, personally I would try to get something in 17" that fits over the brakes and some 40 profile rubber will drive nicer
