boost control solenoid

I have reason to believe my boost controll solenoid isnt working.

Problems..... loud ticking from solenoid (louder than usuall) feels like no boost at all even though my boost gauge reads boost.
Looked into replacing the solenoid and eould i be better off going for a 3 port instead of the 2 port my car has?

Any ideas guys and girls?

Anyone able to shed some light on the matter? I want to know whether i can change my 2 port for a 3port withoit causing any issues or neesing it mapped to cope.
i know my solenoid is knackered!!

Replace with a like for like 2 port, most likely the 3 port would need be mapped in

Not sure if its the same on a classic.. someone will be along shortly to confirm.

Since you are running a classic just get a OEM 2 port boost solenoid or a OEM 3 port both from a classic and get it mapped .
