manifold welding

hey all i just picked up a v6 shogun swb for the odd bit of offroading fun ,, these cars are known to suffer from cracked exhaust manifolds , mine has a blow so i suspect cracked manifold and thought maybe someone on here might have local knowledge of a company that would competently weld the item ( commonly repaired like this im told )

im also looking at the option of having some custom headers made maybe so again if anyone knows a firm local that do that stuff please let me know - ill give powerflow a call and mij are also worth a call ,,, if anyone can recommend anyone else who might be able to do these locally please shout out their details or a link please

thanks - Nick

ok on inspection my manifolds might be ok and have ordered a set i found on ebay at a good price just in case

main leak identified as on joint from exhaust pipe to manifold - can anyone reccomend a local company that makes bespoke ss exhaust systems as this might be the best way forward looking at the exhaust

i hear some bad press about powerflow in brighton so has anyone here any knowledge ?

thats interesting thanks ,,, certainly gives me another local, ish option

i have a fitting kit ordered from mitsubushi and am going to try refitting this new pattern exhaust that is on it just in case its a case of it was just fitted by a monkey without gaskets etc so slight chance it could be a cheap fix

mij do these y pipes a lot ( imagine very similar to the v6 scooby arrangement and said approx £150 to make and fit

ill see how i get on with refitting with all new gaskets and if that fails i think ill give pts a call before taking it anywhere else

thanks again - Nick
