annoying squeak/squeal - any ideas?
 

My Hawk has developed a really annoying squeal. Seems to happen most between 20 and 30 mph and when turning right. No sign of it when turning left. As far as I can tell it is coming from the front left of the car but I cant determine whether it is in the engine bay or wheel/brake from the driving seat.

Subaru have tried to solve this twice now with no success. Belts have all been changed and adjusted and beyond that they just seem to be guessing as to what it might be.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what this could potentially be? Any ideas welcomed as it is dring me nuts.

Try gently touching the brake when it occurs, maybe brake pads?

Pads have all been out, checked and refitted both by me and Subaru. Given the all clear

Full lock in a car park either direction, drive it round in a circle gently while a friend sticks there head out the window and has a listen, could be a bearing or cv joint bit odd that its only at those speeds you hear it.

I wondered about the speed part of it. It may well be that engine/exhaust noise starts getting too loud to hear it once the speed starts to pick up.

The car was only serviced/MOT'd in November (at a dealer), would a dodgy bearing or CV join not be noticed during that?

A bearing if it was really bad maybe, but it could also pass, same with a cv joint wouldn't be noticed really, they only check the rubber boot isn't perished.
