Cheeky sod :fight::wink:

I'm torn between American speedfest at Brands which i've been meaning to go to for the last couple of years and Bromley which i love for the laidback'ness!!! of the show but i wouldn't want to take a scoobies place if a old Vauxhall was allowed after all it is a scoobie stand

Yeah J4, follow A21 to Bromley, when you see a Mcdonalds & Bus garage on the right hand side your getting close, the entrance to Norman park will be clearly sign posted and is on the left :ok:

LOL, yeh !!! forgot that was an extra junction up.
I have been to the Pageant before but it was in about 1989/1990 with my Fiesta Supersport and RS1600i.

If you are coming up from Junction 4 (up the A21) there are a couple of big pub and restaurant car parks that would be suitable for meeting up in.

The Rose and Crown on Farnborough Way is one that immediately springs to mind. There aren't many junctions between there and Bromley Common, so you should be able to stick together from there up to the Pageant. :ok:

Bytes 26-04-2015 03:09 PM

The 'Rose and Crown' is my local :chug: Big car park & right on the A21 so, yes, it would be a good place to meet :ok:

It is! Just on the roundabout after Pratts Bottom. Quaint English village name :-)

Scott.T 16-05-2015 12:16 PM

Does anyone want to take part in the live Arena and tell Fuzz Townsend all about their car.

The event organisers have called and would like me to get back to them over the weekend.

Dear Scott,

I'm contacting you on behalf of the organisers of the Bromley Pageant of Motoring. We're currently looking to find the most interesting cars and facts we can use to attract people to the show and in turn promote your club.*

Could you please let me know what cars you're hoping to bring and which if any anniversaries you're looking to celebrate? If you have photographs of the cars or of anything which might help promote your club, we'd be grateful if you could send them in.

On a related note, we're trying to establish which clubs would like to be involved in the main arena, where they will be interviewed by Fuzz Townshend from Car SOS and motorsport presenter Gemma Scott. If you would like your club to be involved, please let us know.

Thanks in advance,

Scott.T 16-05-2015 12:51 PM

I've said 'YES' to the arena, but not sure how many they will require. I will advise......

Had a great day (after the awful wait to get in!!) Thanks for organising Scott and a huge thanks to Wanda for the lovely spread :ok: Great to see folk again and lots of cars to look at ... perfect day :)

Rdlangy1 07-06-2015 06:35 PM

Absolutely awesome day!
Admittedly the 90min queue to get in took the p*ss, but I think it was well used by most...I think we should adopt a new sport of pushing ur car by hand down the road whilst speed detailing and buffing :ok:

Wanna thank everybody for making Glenn feel welcome - he's not really a petrol head but everyone made him feel welcome!

Great thanks to Scott for organising and big shout out to Wanda for the superb spread! It's true - the lemon drizzle cake is out of this world!!!! Gotta say I liked the brownies to :ok:

Good to see everyone again - cars were looking fantastic, especially jays RB320 - gotta say that is one mint motor mate :ok:
Enjoyed the arena laps (thanks rob for getting us there in the nick of time!) - good fun popping and banging exhausts and spinning the grass up for public amusement! Ha ha (and smoking the clutch!!!)

Always a pleasure to see me and Mrs E - good conversations with all.
Bod - nice to meet you.

Rob / Steve - thanks for walking round with us, good fun - but Focus RS - still green for me I'm afraid! :ok:

A real pleasure to be part of this group and get out and about with like minded people :ok:

See u for breakfast next week!

Ryan :ok:

What time did you all get there, as when i did the kent scoobies stand we used to get there around 8am and never had any queues getting in

Had a smashing day today thanks to everyone that came along and a big thanks to Scott for organising, nice to see You all!

What a diverse lineup of cars!

We would have been there about 8.40 if we hadn't got stuck in stationary traffic Granby.

Granby 07-06-2015 07:27 PM

OK I see, Bromley is always a good show for a diverse range of cars but I had the lure of V8's today that I couldn't resist lol

Not sure if there was any reason for the holdup other than a problem on the gate, can't see how the queue didn't move for 15 minutes at a time as cars were flowing in the entrance gate, albeit slowly.

Still, a really good event with so many different cars to see. Perfect weather, thanks again Wanda for the food, and the random eton-mess in a coffee cup

Considering it cost us a fiver per car to get in, superb value for a day out too :10:

A friend of mine was there in his FSTi.

He took a shine to Big E's WR1. :D

Drove past the entry queue on the way to Brands at about half 9. Was keeping an eye for you guys but didn't see any of you: did see a lot of British classics dying on the side of the road though!
