Hi

My name's Paul. I live in Farnborough, Hants. I've owned a few Scoobies but due to a new family member arriving I had to get something a bit more sensible for a while, but then I treated myself to a present on my anniversary last May.

She's an 06 Hawkeye WRX. Since in my care she's been looked after by Stew and the guys at TFS Racing and mapped by Duncan from Race Dynamics.

The previous owner put a Scorpion stainless steel exhaust, air filter and tyres on her. I've upgraded the brakes and had her remapped just this Friday gone and she put out a healthy 272.8bhp on Surrey Rolling Road. This Thursday she's going back over to TFS for a VF43 turbo upgrade, de-catted and spark plugs changed, then back over to Race Dynamics/SRR on Friday for a map tweak and a power run.

Looking to changed the wheels to a gloss black soon, just need to find the time to get it done!

I'm often around Farnborough/Aldershot/Camberley areas, feel free to say hi.

Hi Paul. Welcome to the club. Tidy looking car!

What further gains are you expecting from the new turbo?

Security_Paul 19-01-2015 07:22 AM

Speaking with Duncan, he reckons after the turbo, decat and tweak on the map she should reach 330-340bhp. Potentially an extra 10bhp to gain if I upgrade to an STI intercooler but I probably won't.

She doesn't look too tidy at the moment, she's filthy bless her. Plus on Saturday I noticed that I've got two small dents and a 50p size amount of paint missing on my front passenger side arch. I'm looking to buy the Zunsport grills, fog covers and a front splitter for her, so my aim is to get all those done, the alloys resprayed and the dents fixed at the same time in a month or so.

Hi and welcome to SES

Welcome. Looks smart.

My FSTi was bought due to the imminent arrival of a new family member... after his arrival we bought a WRX PPP wagon as the other family car! Not convinced we're all that sensible, but I had a two seater before, so it's all relative!

Gloss black will suit it well, although I do like gold and black.
