Type r cost nowadays

What's the going price for a v3/4 type r ?
Been out the loop for ages , wanted a spec c but house has 100% crushed that dream!
So I'm looking at type R's or RA
Been searching the jap auctions past week, so tempted to import one threw a agent, couple late v5/6 sti with 80/90kmh at £2500 around £4500 once here on the road

What auction sites are you looking at. I wouldn't mind a scoot around.
Been looking myself on Pistonheads, Autotrader etc.....but price varies a lot depending on condition.

I would only go Type-R though.
I don't like the back to basics of the RA (a classic is basic enough) or the Blue front seat covers on the V5/V6.

Trouble is I don't want to have to do, all over again, what I have done with mine.
I have considered losing 2-doors, and getting Type-R rear panels put on. But I expect the price to do that would be astronomical.
Or I could just buy Byte's Type-R ;)

Those blue seats are horrid!!!
Was just google Scott, looked and signed up, a lot of people on different forums putting there costing a up etc so you can actually get a good idea what all in all there's to do and pay,

Type r is the one, but if if honest a lovley straight stock v6 sti would be a nice car as has all the type r features just two extra doors lol

Take the seats out for some Recaro Pole positions and it would look great

4 door cars have smaller apertures than 2door, so you cant simply use a 2dt qtr panel........

You could, but it would be a bit draftee......

I wasn't planning in going into the details of the other requirements i.e Doors, B-pillar strengthening bars (although there are new cheap one on ebay at the moment), inner panels, glass etc....

Depends on what you are looking for in spec wise I collect my type r v3 in January and comes with brembos all round , 18" P1 alloys , full decat exhaust , bc coilovers, hks mushroom filter , dump valve mixture of k/mph but works out to be 90000 miles full service history and comes with original docs in japanse and its near mint condition and got it for a bargain price as he wanted to sell it without hassle of the buyer haggling so I gave him his asking price .
