Nice, but it's got a bit of a saggy bum.......
Ideal project for a wide-arch conversion ;)

Completely agree

I keep looking at standard Type R's. Now is the time to buy as they are going up in price.

scotty 23-10-2014 07:44 PM

It's standard apart from BC coilovers , Brembos all round , 18" alloys and fully undersealed not a big fan of the front splitter so that will have to go so hopefully a deal will be done next weekend and ready for collection in January then the fun can begin , I know someone wants the splitter so I'm willing to help once I get a new one .

Moley_WRX 23-10-2014 07:51 PM

That's the standard version 3 splitter

as I hope do P1's:-D

Ginola 23-10-2014 07:58 PM

Keep it original (including the splitter) I would just adjust the BC's to a decent height to help it handle a little better (with a decent geo of course) which would also make it sit/look a bit better.
The v3/v4 Type R I would say are like the holy grail of classic ownership in my mind, If you can find a tidy one.

Its working out cheaper to buy this and put the 2.1 stroker in this than to do it in my terzo .

jonnyricer5 23-10-2014 08:27 PM

Looks nice Scott being the v3 there a bit rarer I think!! The original and best!!

I know Jonny I've been looking at this one for the last few months while doing bits to the Terzo then the guy put it up for sale and I texted him straight away .

Glad to hear!!

scotty 24-10-2014 01:09 AM

I've got a funny feeling I will be doing to projects .

Banstead Stig 24-10-2014 06:50 AM

Personally I wouldn't do a thing to it.

If it is as clean and tidy in the metal I'd do a "project" of refreshing it and wait for it to appreciate.

Seem to recall saying something very similar about your Terzo!

I think I will listen everyone and keep it standard , engine keep standard but add a bit of colour to the engine bay and buy a set revolution millennium alloys to fit over the brembos I think that should do it .

Big day for me tomorrow cant wait let you all know how I get on when I get back tomorrow night .

Mortster 31-10-2014 06:32 PM

Have a good look under both the rear arches, up inside the turret on the inside. That's where the normal rust gets 2 doors.

And get some more photos! :ok:

The King is dead. Long live the King!

Glad the R was worthy. Makes the bad news more pallatable.

Lucky 02-11-2014 09:12 AM

Nice one Mate. Love type R' s and especially in white.

Moley_WRX 02-11-2014 10:27 PM

jmcc42uk 03-11-2014 02:53 PM

My wee bro just picked up and RA with the short ration box - quick car, it's flies down the back roads and seems to stick to the tarmac like a limpet
