Local RTA

AT 4.30 ish there was a RTA involving 2 cars down my road, lots of police on sight as I drove past ( road still open ). The Air Ambulance tried to Land in our field, then aborted??

Hour later the whole area was closed, zero access.

3 1/2 hours later, place is still locked down, we cant go/get anywhere, police wont say anything...???

Why ( aimed at Tim ) is entire place on lockdown for a 2 car RTA??

Accident happened whilst the car was being chased by police?? Collecting data pending an IPCC investigation?

If its a fatal/possible fatal then i guess they have to close the area down too whilst they carry out their work.

Bound be a fatal or potential fatal. Crash investigation need to do their stuff and potentially walk the scene for anything left....including body parts if that bad. I don't know about the crash as not near my area. If air ambulance aborted maybe dead at scene which by keeping bodies present helps with the investigation in some circumstances.

That's what I thought at first, as there seemed to be more officers there about a hour later.

Roads now open, so it was shut for almost 5 hours.
