2015 STI warranty
This kind of says how confident subaru are in the 2.5 still.
We've been looking into one for our lettings director. Currently we supply him with a Leon Cupra R and the 3 year lease is up in January. He fancies a stab at a scoob but would want the pro R upgrade but it invalidates the warranty!! If it's installed it's apparently down to the dealer to supply a years warranty. This is the official statement..........
WRX STI is covered by the standard 3 Year / 60,000 mile (whichever is sooner) Manufacturer’s Warranty (bumper to bumper, excluding clutch driven plate).
"The fitting of performance upgrade kits or parts, whether purchased direct from an official Subaru franchise dealer or an aftermarket provider constitutes a modification to the vehicle and therefore invalidates the vehicles warranty. This is clearly explained in the Service & Warranties Booklet found in the glove box of your vehicle. The seller of your modified vehicle is required to provide you with a separate warranty, which he would source from a third party provider. If the car you have bought has not been subjected to a performance upgrade, your official warranty remains intact."
I'm sure the old PPP didn't affect the warranty???
