I posted this up on Scotty's thread.

It must nice to have one with only 3,500 miles, but they do like to be driven, I wonder if the cam belt has been changed, as it should now be on its third..?

How can the guy be so proud of the car and say it's so special, when he's barely experienced it?!

3,500 is a joke. He's been in the car less than 100 hours I'd guess, so 10 hours a year on average.

Hopefully the next owner drives the bloody thing.

Couldn't agree more. Its a silly price when I'd be more worried about it having been parked up for several years without moving. Does them no good to just sit in a barn deteriorating.

:agreed: I just don't get owners who use their cars so little, they are meant to be enjoyed on a regular basis

id like to think they will go up in value but thats nearly what they where new give or take five grand... i even started using mine alot more know as i was worried about it festering away...when i say alot i mean weekly instead of monthly know.especiallyas the suns out.

I've had first hand experience with what happens to a car when its left to stand..restoring a car that was sat for 3 years.. on the list of things for any potential new owner is the possible need to replace ALL rubber.. So.. drive shaft boots, ball joint covers, steering rack etc, + all pipes, fuel line joins, all bushings, hoses, belts, brake calliper seals. not to mention tyres!
Hopefully the brakes themselves are ok, as 9 times out of 10 you have to replace the hole lot.
The other annoyance that fuel sat in a car for that length of time will be utter ****e and I wouldn't chose to light a BBQ with let alone start a scoob. so a tank drain and top up or if your brave some octane additive and a limp to a shell station.

All that said 3500 is bloody low miles :D :)

Maybe all he has done is change the dash. First picture is black then the next picture is blue?

Definitely. Mine's never felt better after Germany and the run out it had :-)

I must say, the quality of those photo's will certainly help it sell......

How well a car's looked after is often reflected in how it's presented for sale. This scores close to '0'.
