Please keep an eye out - theft/fraud

Hi folks,

I've been contacted by a reputable UK tuner/trader in the Subaru scene because they've been the victim of credit card fraud to the tune of £3500.

Someone ordered a load of parts via telephone using a stolen credit card, and then waited outside the delivery address (of the actual cardholder) to take the items off the courier before driving off. The tuner is out of pocket to the full amount.

The parts list is as follows:

Quote:

1. A set of red AP Racing 4 pot Rear Big Brake Conversion (rear AP kits don't come up very often.....)
2. BC Racing Coilovers
3. Whiteline front and rear swaybars
4. Carbon rear lower diffuser
5. Exedy clutch

All ordered for a 2005 blobeye WRX (although will fit 2001-2007 models)
The reason we've been asked to post this information is that the delivery address was in Tunbridge Wells, so it may well be someone in our local area.

Please keep your eyes open - if you know/see a car with these parts recently fitted, or see any of these parts for sale online (all are brand new) then please PM me details and I will forward them. Of course, any information provided will be in the strictest confidence. As the matter is also with the Police fraud department, I cannot name the tuner involved at this time.

Thanks guys. Its a shame to hear about this kind of thing as it does our community no good :(

On a few sites on Facebook so will keep my eyes open. Feel for the trader, not fair that they should be out of pocket. These card company's/banks make plenty, their card so they should swallow it.
