Bug owners

Hi
I'm interested to find out from the various bug owners what sort of mileage you get from a tank of fuel I appreciate the variations in power / lead feet etc but looking for an average !!
I have a pretty standard bug wagon and get around 200 miles per tank of v power !
I am certain I have a sticky caliper or two and am wondering if/how much this is affecting the fuel consumption ?

Look forward to the responses !
Many thanks
Paul

I've always got about 230-250 from mine in normal driving, both before and after it was mapped.

Thanks Steve that's a fair bit more than I'm getting !

I'm getting about the same as Steve roughly but mine is completely standard apart from decat centre section, green panel filter and back box ;) so not really standard anymore I suppose lol

310 last time up drove up to Scotland, and about 290 a tank France to Switzerland.

Interesting !! Looks like I need to get them calipers sorted !!
I've seen some rebuilt ones for £550 and you get £250 back if you send your calipers back so £300 for a fully stripped and rebuilt / powder coated set of 4 does that seem a fair price ?

I have a standard bug - besides back box, and I only get about 210-220 miles - and thats driving conservatively.
i.e. 70mph in 6th gear - changing up gears just before turbo kicks in e.t.c.
Any ideas how to improve this - car is serviced well, and runs ok (i think!) ha ha
