Goodwood Supercar Breakfast Meet 2014

WOW....this event has grown.
Last time I was here was 2011. The event is now about 200% bigger, with the emphasis on 'Event' rather then 'Meet'.
A lot more catering on site and it felt more like the FOS.

Car's were parked all the way round to over 1/2 way down Lavant Straight

A few pics from Ollie.T......

Great pictures.

First year I've missed for a while.

Did you see the Aston cabrio that the roll bars had popped up on? Saw a pic elsewhere. :o

Yeh! a bit weird that.
Try explaining that to the police officer that pulls you, that you weren't having a 'spirited' drive causing the safety hoops to deploy !!!!!

Banstead Stig 04-05-2014 09:27 PM

A friend of my Dad's had a similar issue with a Merc SL500 about twenty years ago.

It was when they had the interchangeable hard/soft tops. He walloped a pot hole and the bar deployed, only he had the hard top on!

Cracking Snaps sorry I missed you this morning Scott, It was...heaving! I would agree this is the third year we have gone and it is totally different to how it was then, trade stalls and food vendors galore! and so much busier, I had to park in a field!!!!! I was not impressed! first year I parked where all the motorbikes where today..

I Managed to hook up with the old man and his mate, didn't see my cousin or my Dads cousin either who's car was near the shell building,.. we did see a lovely W reg Honda Prelude there though..
We also established that Wanda would like a black 458 Convertible. ;)

Pics Here... I skipped most of the "Flash" Exotica and tried to be a bit more off the wall..

I loved this.. am I getting old? probably the best looking car there?

Saw that.. Wondered what had happened to it :O looked like there was some mud on the canvas, perhaps someone threw something at it?

Great photos guys, was going to make the effort but had to be home by 11ish anyway and decided to stay in bed!

Matt23 06-05-2014 04:40 PM

Excellent pictures guys, it was a very good turn out this yes and it just seems to keep growing every year. Loved the Zonda, it sounded mental as it left:10:

Agreed that it seemed way bigger than the last Supercar Sunday we went to.

We missed a few of the cars on the main straight as, by the time we had checked out the cars parked round the circuit, a lot of stuff was leaving. Still saw some lovely motors though; the F40's were amongst my faves, but my pick of the day had to be the RS200.

It was no concourse car, but had great history.

I thought it was actually pretty tidy (for an RS200!). The same car was at Lydden on Monday and I ended up chatting to the owner. He has had the car since new and it just hit 18,000 miles on the way back from Goodwood.

Pretty interesting to hear his opinion on driving the car... I still badly want one in my life! :D
