Hi and welcome you can get a clean sti v3 or v4 and also a good low mileage wrx 04/05 plate for that kind of money with a bit left over for some mods .

Bolesroor 12-04-2014 04:59 PM

:welcome:to SES, there are plenty of sensible people on here Ashley with excellent knowledge on what to look out for.

Good luck with your search.:ok:

Mr insurance man will pull my trousers down trying to insure an sti :fool:

Definitely make sure you get quotes before you buy.... and try and find a completely standard car because mods will cause you insurance problems at 21.

scotty 12-04-2014 10:47 PM

Here's a nice example but as Steve said about mods at your age might be costly .

Welcome! Make sure you speak to Moley regarding insurance - Keith Michaels insurance. He might be able to get you a good deal.

Cheers chaps
I still have insurance left over from my audi tt so iv just suspend that policy .
I just have to pay the difference for now

:welcome: to SES Ashley, Get some quotes first!, depending on what your looking for raw driving experience, or comfortable and fast will decide what you buy, you can get a very tidy 04/05 WRX for 5k (comfortable and fast) or you could spend on a really nice v4/v5 classic STI (raw and faster!). but insurance will be the decider :)

Keep your eye peeled for members cars on here selling or other Subaru forums and keep us updated with your search :) There is a very nice classic for sale in the for sale thread on here at the moment ;)

Ashley_ 13-04-2014 01:46 PM

Thanks ginola , iv had a look at insurance on a wrx and it's around the £1300 mark
I don't even want to look at the price on any sti that's for sure
I can't yet view the for sale section on here :(

ScoobyStu 13-04-2014 01:58 PM

Hello and welcome to SES :-)

£1300 is pretty good. I paid that for mine in my first year when I was 32!

Ashley_ 13-04-2014 02:03 PM

That's crazy

C. J. 13-04-2014 03:03 PM

How do
You may find a wagon is cheaper to insure ;)
