TD04 are 10 a penny on ebay, not worth rebuilding when there are so many out there.
I think RobEvo5 has one kicking about providing shelter for homeless spiders.

To be fair, if its a standard 2002 WRX the turbo is a TD04 and they can often be had for less than £100 as people often upgrade to something bigger. Seen several go for around the £50 mark....

edit / lol, Scott beat me to it

thanks to everyone, yes, she is bone stock for the minute. I have had her 4 weeks now, just getting her tidied up before starting down the slippery road..... Will know over next couple days if its my turbo about to go.

Wouldn't such a delectable 'charger be wasted on my little Vicky..... She's stock remember and I'd surely need more to support this?

Thanks guys for all your help and advice, finally got my silicone VAC hosing and replaced all the actuator and boost control solenoid hosing, then took her out and gave her a little tickle...... No engine management light. But judging by how degraded the VAC hoses wereme and the wife are gonna replace all the hosing over the next couple of months. Put other plans for the thing on hold, but worth it for the peace of mind.

Thank you all again, most other forums and car people I have been around are really anal and stuck up their own tail pipes, but I am proud to be on SES and would be happy to recommend it to everyone.
