iv sourced a sti v1/v2 tmic... cheap.. are they much bigger better flowing then my black wrx tmic??

I sourced this cheap for my V1 which has side entry rather than the restrictive Y-pipe affair.
Still playing with it and going to take a few months till i'm done tinkering with it, but first impressions are that it's a good upgrade for V1/2:-
