Had to shift a 10ft trampoline out of the road on the way home. It must of arrived there moments earlier as I was the 2nd car to come across it.
No idea who's, just dragged it to the side of the road.
Bloody heavy even with 3 of us dragging it, so would take a lot of wind to shift and dump it where it landed.

CRAIGR 24-12-2013 02:22 AM

Still blooming windy out there at 2.20

bigemp 24-12-2013 02:42 AM

555_Si 24-12-2013 09:00 AM

We got away with three... although I've just sliced my hand open on a nail whilst putting one of them back up, so not feeling the luckiest... certainly not the worst affected round here though.

All around you can hear the tapping of hammers as people are repairing things.

Had some roof felt in the middle of our lawn... no idea who it belongs to!

Steve_PPP 24-12-2013 10:15 AM

Burgess Hill not too bad, much worse up around Balcombe/Crawley/Horley area. Took me 1hr 45 mins to get from B.Hill to Crawley got work, every road i turned down was blocked by trees :(

Power was out in Hassocks last night, plus still out in Balcombe i think (certainly was when i drove through earlier in the dark, not a light on anywhere). Seen two written off cars where people have been going too fast and steamed into fallen trees as they couldn't stop in time - both Audi's..... one a brand new white TT (RS i think) with the front caved in.

simonairheadz 24-12-2013 12:25 PM

My planter has moved 2 inches on the decking!!!

Hongkongfooi 24-12-2013 02:33 PM

my in laws are without power near Horsham so my xmas dinner might be cold

Scott I`m so glad you have found it, if you can let me know I`ll collect in the morning as its Liz`s Xmas pressie

1 fence panel down but took a small brick pillar with it though, knew I should have fixed it when I saw it was loose earlier in the year :fool:

Frenchie 24-12-2013 10:45 PM

Very windy here last night, approx 150kph lots of trees down.Luckily our nearest neighbour is a farmer and he has cleared our single track road with his tractor. All quite now, hope everyone's safe.

Steve_PPP 25-12-2013 09:35 PM

Thought we'd got away with no damage but left for work yesterday when it was still dark.

Got home to find that i hadn't noticed two of the fence panels in the rear garden had come down

Still, could be a lot worse, having seen/heard about the conditions in Kent/Surrey.

ScoobyStu 25-12-2013 09:40 PM

Got away with it again thankfully. Personally think that was worse than the one a few weeks ago. More to come Friday apparently. :-(

Yeah, much worse imo. The one a couple of weeks ago didn't do much damage around here at all. Hoping Friday isn't as bad!

It was, the amount of damage to fences, trees down and flooding was far worse.

Not to mention the power outages, which we finally now have back! The engineers worked right through Xmas eve and xmas day to reconnect this area.

Red Baron 26-12-2013 03:05 PM

A friend lost the roof roof his barn containing his Grey Fergie Tractor, 3 door Cosworth, X-Packed Mk2 Escort Shell, Mk1 1300E Escort, Mk1 Granada Coupe and a beaten up old Land Rover, the only thing that got damaged was the Land Rover which is currently under about 2 tons of building rubble but will apparent live on.

X-pack shell and a cossie you do have nice friends :worthy:

Today I`ve fixed the missing fence panel and spent the afternoon trying to find where my damp patch on the kitchen ceiling (no jokes please  ) has come from? The roof area above the patch is felted. Although no luck I did discover some missing felt above the garage.Temporary repair so scoob is safe for a few more days/nights.

C. J. 26-12-2013 04:56 PM

There forecasting 25 hrs of rain for the south from 9 tonight till 10pm tomorrow .
Still have floods all round Horsham so god knows what it'll be like when I drive Saturday to me brothers in Chichester !

Red Baron 26-12-2013 05:45 PM

The Cossie is a work in progress and the Mk2 really is just a shell with wheels. He's also got a Capri 3.0S and a Mk1 Mexico. You'd think he was in his 40s or 50s but he's only 36.

ScoobyStu 26-12-2013 10:22 PM

Bad news weather wise it seems. The flooding is potentially going to get worse and some new areas may even get hit. Feel for people what ever time of the year but it's seems so much worse at Christmas. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse for anyone.

BIG"E" 27-12-2013 12:18 AM

Bloody sprouts!

Hope it didn't get any worse, else I'll feel like a right **** for making a joke!

Fingers crossed no one has had anything too bad. More fence panels here, which I think is not too problematic.

Domo2106 01-01-2014 03:39 PM

It's blowing a gale in Brighton 3 tiles were blown off the roof one just missed the scoob better stick her in the garage
