Another ice blue 1

Hi, I'm Paul from Rochester. I've had my WR1 for a month now, and love it. Apart from when it tried to swap ends on me during a little getting to know you session last night! I must've looked like a right hooligan wagging my tail off the roundabout!:yeah:

Hopefully after the spring I'll be able to give her a proper detail and maybe get to a meet and show her off.

simba 26-11-2013 07:51 PM

Oh man not another 'special' one anyway welcome and hello

Willowsdad 26-11-2013 07:53 PM

Thanks for the welcome. If you mean big 'E', he was the one who pointed me in this direction from the WR1 owners club. It'd be nice to see another one in the flesh, I'm not likely to drive past one any time soon.

:welcome: to SES. glad you've made it on here, you obviously have excellent choice of colour and now you would have found out what it is like to own the superior scoob the WR1. :five: not that I am biased.

Looking good has it been played with or is the 1 original ?

Dont be afraid to ask any questions if you have any, we are a friendly bunch on here.

Willowsdad 26-11-2013 11:17 PM

Thanks. It's all original apart from Pagid discs and goodridge hoses. And now a set of black mudflaps with prodrive and WR1 decals. Toying with the idea of a remap to freshen everything up in 6 months or so, but at the moment it's plenty enough to get the adrenaline pumping. Seems like a friendly place with plenty of banter here.

impreza27 27-11-2013 12:12 PM

Welcome to ses nice looking wr1

bigemp 27-11-2013 01:26 PM

Welcome to ses(thought the registration was familiar),emailed the previous owner about this one when it was up for sale b4,lovely looking car

Willowsdad 27-11-2013 04:13 PM

There's a few little bits to take care of in the spring, but mainly cos I'm quite fussy. All in all it's a great all around car. The mrs potters around off boost to do the school run, and the powers there for when I want it. It's no worse on fuel than the V6 A3 I had before, but loads more room and a hell of a lot faster!

HYDROSCOBY 27-11-2013 04:31 PM

:welcome:to ses, what a lovly looking wr1

Willowsdad 28-11-2013 10:25 AM

A few more pics of the one. I'll put a proper thread up when she's had a decent wash.

Looks nice :polish: What snow foam do you use?

Willowsdad 28-11-2013 02:00 PM

Thanks mate. Valet pro ph neutral, but I've just reached the bottom of the bottle. Not sure if to try something new.

GB270Adam 28-11-2013 04:13 PM

Nice clean looking WR1 mate, welcome.

Thanks for the reply, I`ve been using Auto Finesse Avalanche but disappointed in its performance but as Ron aka`pieman`(our resident detailing expert :polish:) says"Having the right HP cleaner/foam/lance combo really helps".

Willowsdad 28-11-2013 04:45 PM

Definitely. The ph neutral foams nicely, but a slight drop in pressure from the karcher and doesn't stick at all. People question the benefits of it, but whether it does anything or not it's still fun.

Martin H 28-11-2013 05:25 PM

Hi :welcome: to SES that is a very nice WR1 indeed I would say on par with Big E's
