Excessive fuel consumption

Hello

I know I've not been around much lately, only im having a problem with fuel consumption on my 95 WRX and thought you lovely people could tell me why
As apart from the smell of fuel occasionally, when I floored it,she was pretty good on fuel,i only realised how bad it had gotten when I put £20 in an I went around 40 mile, and it was gone...but the smell of fuel is more frequent now..

But must say,i only take her out maybe every 2 weeks, but shes a bugger to get going, takes about 20 minutes to warm up to running temp, even then she hesitates a bit for a few miles when driving..
Have been advised to change Lambda & Temp sencor but before doing either of these, thought I would get your opinion...

Thanks Trace x

Temp sensor. bet ya! runs crap when cold?? both my old 94 wrx's needed these. cheap enough and easy to fit. just a little tight getting your hands on it. get a genuine one of import car parts. If i remembered there around £30.
