SpecB 06-10-2013 06:35 AM

Do like a black bug!

scooby doo 06-10-2013 09:20 AM

I really would like a pro drive bumper, to lower it 20mm, and get Jgm to mapp it to, then try and leave alone, so he says, fraz over on sn is a bugger doing a black one also gets me thinking. What do you guys think of speed line turinis?

scooby doo 08-10-2013 04:44 PM

Gave the car a good polish last night and thought id get some shots while in the sun at work,

Bytes 08-10-2013 05:01 PM

Bolesroor 08-10-2013 05:26 PM

Tyler 10-10-2013 12:15 PM

Looking good mate, looks spotless.

scooby doo 17-10-2013 07:36 PM

Little update,
fitted stock gearknob, removed the piller gauges and fitted stock piller back in as did'nt like having two gauges in my eye sight 2nd was to high..
Had the car serviced,
Prodrive front bumper..
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...psb6599371.jpg

Got this gauge pod for the center of the dash, but the fitment is poor, so just put the stock clock back in.
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...psd1fe9fa5.jpg

Today i have ordered H&R Springs and Samco airbox hose from a very helpful Revolution :-D
And a Cosworth Panel Filter.

Next is mapp on the cards and do something with boost gauge location.I'm thinking something like this link as small and tucked down-

Very nice bumper mate. Looking forward to seeing it painted and on the car

Mortster 17-10-2013 08:26 PM

scooby doo 21-10-2013 01:02 PM

Went for the pillar pod from S'world, arrived today and it fits great, really pleased with it,
Keep toying with the wheel colour either silver or black??

scooby doo 22-10-2013 12:51 PM

Bit the bullet and bought Black Blob Sti rear bumper and Rear lights :p

Should update the rear abit.
Few more things in the pipeline also, :STi:

Are you aware the blacks don't match between bugs and blobs and it'll need repainting?

The bugeyes were black with a blue hue in the paint whereas the blobs were black with a gold fleck in. Just thought i'd mention in case you were planning on just swapping the bumpers straight over....

Yes pal, i'm planning on painting it along with the Prodrive front.
i think it updates the rear alot.

Steve_PPP 22-10-2013 02:36 PM

Cool, it does make it a lot newer looking from the rear. I changed my rear lights from bug to blob but didn't do the bumper.... just doing that bit makes a huge difference.

scooby doo 09-11-2013 03:34 PM

Small update

Fitted few more parts to the Scoob and thought id share,

1st off Rear blob eye lights, much much better and really happy with these.
Blob rear bumper is still sitting in my shed awaiting painting.

Fitted O.E.M Airbox coupled along with Cosworth panel filter and Samco airbox hose.

H&R lowering springs awaiting fitment coupled to a new set of kyb ultra sr shocks :-)

Had the Car up my local scoob doctor to fit new wheel bearings, milltek welded on down pipe as fracture around a weld, also the up pipe heat shield removed as driving me around the bend rattling.:brickwall:

scooby doo 10-11-2013 05:14 PM

Steve_PPP 10-11-2013 07:53 PM

Good to see the scoob today, always nice to have another tidy bugeye in the club :D

scooby doo 12-11-2013 04:10 PM

And front v-lip, smaller front plate and new clean rear plate.

http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...psbc27fe0d.jpg

scooby doo 12-11-2013 04:18 PM

edit bought this considering this little lip spoiler, is this the one people normally fit?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E46-19...item3cd85b0b4f

Steve_PPP 12-11-2013 06:02 PM

Yep, Moley did it on his blob :)

I think the first one he got was a bit too short though (didn't meet the raised bits on the end of the spoiler), so not sure if they're a standard size or available in different lengths...

scooby doo 12-11-2013 07:41 PM

I don't think they do. Looked up frayz one over on s'net and his doesn't still looks good I believe. Still awaiting my front shocks to arrive. Backs are here then I can lower it. Also think I'm going to get lepsons to refurbish the alloys but may hang on while crappy weather unless I can get hold of some stock sti wheels to push threw the winter

ajones3217 12-11-2013 09:35 PM

Looks a minter

scooby doo 16-11-2013 04:45 PM

Spillter added, and the rear diffuser test fitted on my blob bumper, need to drop the bumper of at the painters at some point, really happy with the quality of them both.

Looking good, front splitter really improves the front of the newage cars

scooby doo 18-12-2013 02:39 PM

well after much badgering of friends ive decided to put the hatch on hold for a bit longer as want a jdm only version and still fetching to much, i decided that the sti need some money thrown at it,
so just ordered some Rota g-force and new black nuts for her.
these but in gun metal. anyone know where can get the heat shield for the bumper from?
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps7a6cbb94.jpg

Mortster 18-12-2013 04:08 PM

dano17439 22-01-2014 10:22 AM

I nearly bought this car I guess around 8 years ago when it was for sale at Village Cars. Garage was very local to me in Essex. Still saw it around until about a year ago locally so I guess this is where its ended up lol

scooby doo 22-01-2014 11:25 AM

Small world don't surpose you remember how much it was all that time ago

dano17439 22-01-2014 11:31 AM

I think it was up for 11k. I know it had been mapped as the car was inside the showroom and had the dynograph in the window. I think Powerstation had done it.

Village cars were like a mini car supermarket with the odd decent car. this was one of them back then!

dano17439 22-01-2014 11:32 AM

Oh im saying 8 years ago - it was definatly pre 2007!

scooby doo 22-01-2014 11:46 AM

Deffo mine was mapped in 06 by power station car is for sale now

dano17439 22-01-2014 01:31 PM

Lol see good cars stick in the memory! GLWTS

scoobywayne 09-03-2014 08:28 AM

Lovely car

Scoobystig 08-01-2018 08:25 PM

Hello Scooby Doo

This was my old car back in 2003-2007ish

Would love to know where you sold it on to and any pics you have still of it

Wanted to buy it back when at Village cars but couldn’t justify the expense for a weekend car

Cheers

scooby doo 09-01-2018 11:28 AM

Oh right , I have some pictures some where . I had to read the thread to work out which scoob you was on about then ,
