Classic 18's tyre size?

The wagon is running 215/35 toyos at the moment which is the recommended size I understand from Ron and Keith. Not looking to change them until they run down but is anyone running either a 40 profile or even a 225 that has a view on how they behave?

225/35/18 you can get away with but 225/40/18 will rub

35 are the correct profile.
I run 225/35 on a 8 inch rim.

Yours are 7.5 iirc.

I'm running 225 40 18's and no probs :)
It's when I run 18" rally Tarmac tyres I have the problem :D

Is that real? That looks like some dodgy repair you'd do out on the field when you've got to improvise due to not having the right tools
