Unbelievable

As most of you know I had problems with my classic sti randomely not starting when hot. For this reason I had enough after spending so much time and effort and sold it on ebay on Thursday (lost money on it).

One of the headgaskets had gone which the buyer knew about and there was a tapping noise from the top right piston (as confirmed by craig and a subaru specialis about the tapping).

I sold it to jdm import parts on ebay from Kent. Jonny found it being broken on the bay where he said the car had no knocks and no overheating and had no problems.

I looked at his other items for sale and found my engine on there for £800 with him saying theres no knocks and worst of all he says its done 62,000 miles when I sold it to him with 93,000 on the clock... it was the engine out of my car as I can tell by the pictures plus he says its had new belts and waterpump which I did myself.
Plus he offers a month warranty.

Makes me worry about buying anything off ebay and makes me realise you cant trust everyone.

Heres the item number for the engine: 121134519417
Heres the item number for the car itself: 121134511990

Tossers. They won't keep their 100% positive feedback for long if they start ripping people off like that.

RCS2810 29-06-2013 11:00 PM

Oh and this 121134575468.
My ecu, most bar I got was 1 not 1.2 and am pretty sure it was standard 275bhp not 310...

Disgusting. Is there anyway you can report him to eBay before someone gets tucked up?

RCS2810 29-06-2013 11:07 PM

Yes there is but not to sound wimpsh but he knows where I live, dont fancy a visit from him and 'some mates' as he's not far from me. Dont want the trouble.

Not at all mate, completely understandable. Let's hope he gets a visit by someone he's ripped off with a few of his mates! ;-)

We can all hope. I understand everyone has to earn a living and rules are there to be bent but not broken then removed and buried.

In the ad he's says engine can be heard running?

Yeah I don't understand that, plus he offers a warranty. Just cant believe hes saying its done 30,000 mile less than it actually has.

Converting it from KM to Miles doesn't get it too far from what he is saying.

RCS2810 30-06-2013 09:00 AM

I advertised the car as 148,420 KM (92,223 miles) which is what it had done when he bought it.

If he's advertising it at 62,000 miles that makes it 99,779 kms...

Whichever way you look at it its still a lot of mileage hes knocked off.

I've always had doubts about buying car or certain parts on eBay so I choose to buy my Scooby on gumtree, go and visit it when u want, if u like it u bought it. I didn't fancy driving to something I bided on and it's a pile of crap
