Anti Hyjack removal

The car has an anti hyjack system on it. Basically every time you start it, or are stationary for more than about 15 seconds you need to press the 'secret' button!. Obviously works well, but drives me bonkers as I forget its there until the car starts lurching down the road and running rough until its pressed. Any ideas as to the easiest and cheapest way of disconnecting it?

Steve

Oh, and if someone wants to remove it and have it for their car they are more than welcome to it!!!

What make is if 'Clifford'. If so you may be able to google for the manuals and a certain key press process with the keys in the ignition may disable it.

Big E has this system on his car (Clifford) and I really rate it, if I had something a little desirable I would defo have / keep this installed.

Does it not have a "valet" mode??

I will look through the paperwork and see if there are any clues as to what it is. Know what you mean about leaving it as its extra security but it really is a pain!!!

The clifford system to my knowledge is a push button sequence rather than one press of a hidden button

This is a push of one button. It would be fine if you only had to press it once. But its vitually everytime you stop at traffic lights etc.

Turns out is a Motorguard Autowatch 68Hi system fitted by motorguarduk. Just trying to source some sort of manual for it, but may speak to them direct now.
