Randy's Classic STI

Hello SES.

Thought I'd start my own post to show pictures and share updates.

As explained in my newbie thread, I took the car as a trade in against a GT TDi Golf and was planning on flipping it for some quick cash, but when I drove it I had a stupid grin on my face and decided to keep it. I live in France but for tax reasons have to come back home every now and then, and for the past 6 months I've been driving my Caddy van and missing my Subaru.

This is a pic on our last drive back in November.

One of those rare days when the sun was shining!

Today, we had the mot, took it to see my mate Dave @ Thames Valley MOT (if anyone is over that way I highly recommend them

Got a good look under the car while it was there, looks clean and tidy. Some poly bushes on the rear were a bonus.

Only bad point was a poorly fitted (or fitting) down pipe which is rattling against a brace.

Future plans are to tidy it up, fit some STi clear rear lights and front indicators. I need to change the wing mirrors as the paint on mine is really bad and replace one of the fog light covered where the numberplate is screwed through it.

Inside it needs a stereo as there is just a big double din size hole and replace the plastic bits that were painted with primer :S

Engine wise, not looking for power, I'll just mod for reliability as I just want it running sweet. Think it's over fueling, does really smell, so need to take it to someone who knows what they're going to check it over and let me know what the AFRs are doing and what to do next.

Also, because I love it so much, a quick flash of one of my other toys

Thanks, the Imp is nuts! Over 200bhp in the boot. Tries to kill me every time I drive it.

I've gone on a little holiday. I think I need a roof rack or a bigger car as taking bikes apart for ever ride is going to get very boring very fast.

Missing my Caddy Kombi van this week.

Crazy to think that the bike was over 3x more expensive than the car :-o

Looking good mate. Hope the holidays good
