That mexico would of been worth a small fortune by now, always loved the MK1 and MK2 escorts, wish I'd bought one when I had a chance to a few years back.

Some great cars and memories there Keith. I think this thread may well rival the 'how much longer lucky' thread!!!!

BIG"E" 09-04-2013 11:47 AM

Will the new one have a flat 4????

Granby 09-04-2013 01:35 PM

Get another old skool Ford :norty:

Or how about something with a V8, you won't regret it :), your welcome for a drive in mine just to see what they are like :D

So frustrating, I can't see the pictures on my PC, but I can on the Nexus 7 :(

Technology!

Sounds like your looking for a true weekend toy / enthusiasts classic.

You already have your legacy to keep fly the Subaru flag.!

So I would say another Sprint would fit nicely in your garage, and be an alternative scene and club meet for you to spend your summer evenings/weekends going to. Or and old school ford.

get a Cossie anglia!! do like them lol did love the mk1 escort but prefure the mk2

Scooby_Greg 09-04-2013 04:03 PM

Have you already got something lined up Keith? I'd love to have a classic I could tinker with. I'm sure whatever it will be its going to be a fantastic car. Look forward to seeing this post and the guesses. Escort or BRZ would my guess.

Rob sees into the mind of Subarman! :SMBLU:

Wagon and Spec B are both four door saloon/estate type vehicles. We only need one of that type for ferrying grandchildren/parents around. We have the IQ for town. A nice fairly impractical weekend toy would fit the bill. I have done classics I'm afraid - had 11 years of running clubs/classic car shows and dealing with reliability issues and over 30 years owning the Sprint, so would not want another of those, especially as I can go and see my old one in Bognor.

I know we can be a bit unreliable Keith, but we are all getting a bit older :oldman:. I mean, look at me, parked my scoob, forgot where I left it and came home in a golf :brickwall:

BRZ me thinks...

RobEvo5 09-04-2013 06:06 PM

A few clues in that post Keith........... So I reckon a modern soft top of some description and budget dependent... perhaps something like a BMW Z4, Boxster S ?

See one today in silver, it did look good and sounded nice, think it had a exhaust change but can't say for sure as haven't heard one before :)
