Exhaust
Got a blitz nur spec and going to get a decat pipe once fitted is it still safe to drive car on standard ecu as I cant get mine mapped due it being a my98 classic
I've had two classics on standard ecu's and have decatted both without remaps
Infact I got this yesterday http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...1e8e2a89d3.jpg |
Looking good james is that for the wagon
Yeah I only wanted a middle section ;)
Just picked up a 3 inch decat pipe now to go my man martin to fit the exhaust on Monday if he is working .
Does the 3inch down pipe narrow at the bottom like the blitz does where they meet ?
Good point, blitz goes down to 2.5 to mate to standard downpipe
Nope its a full 3 inch all the way from decat pipe to the back box so its going to loud thank god ive the baffle plate to go with it but that wont be going until its time for the mot .
Errr I can see the middle section narrow in your pic
I know the flanges are both the same size and the marry up to the decat pipe and I don't if the flanges on the standard downpipe will be the same size as the middle section .
If they are the same size it's not a true 3 inch, what's better or you will Deffo need a remap 100%
Thanks for the info james think I will have a look under the car to see if the flanges are the same .
Just had a look under the car the flanges are the same size happy with that means the exhaust can bolt straight on , might leave the decat pipe off until ive got enough funds for a alcatec ecu .
Did you get it from scoobypartz in Cranbrook.

The classics do appear to cope with exhaust changes better than the newages but remapping is definitely a good idea.
