Sushi Sunday, Goodwood Breakfast Club - 7th April
 

Anyone around for this Jap-themed Breakfast Club? I'm gona be there as I work for the GRRC but would be nice to see some other SES guys there too!

I would of gone but we are down there the following week for the Trackday.

I'm there with quite a few from Surrey and the MLR

Hope fully if the car lives tomorrow :)

I was going to get a list going at the weekend for this - its been on our calendar for a while.

Goodwood haven't done a Sushi Sunday for a few years, so lets get a good list going. They'll be the usual convoy meetups on route, main one being Patcham BP station I expect.

What time does this start? and any convoy meetups on the A27/A23??

Most likely aim to get there about 8am, so meetups before that as required. We normally meet at the Patcham BP garage about 7:10am and head over from there, but the Eastbourne/Hastings guys meet up before that as well.

Pretty sure I'm supposed to be working this weekend but the office is only 2mins up the road so will try and wing it.

Tim, If I meet you at the Patcham BP as usual and dump my car somewhere, can I hop in with you, assuming you dont already have a passenger of course.

Yes mate, sim will be with us so I'll dump the harness bar for the weekend and see you there

I can meet at Patcham BP as well if another seat is needed and you can't be bothered to remove the bar :)

I may be up for this, bit of a trek for me but I've never been goodwood. Wouldn't mind giving the car a good run.

Don't forget peeps you need to register as they now issue e tickets for pits :)

And don't forget the clocks change!

Its too late to register now but this is only to get access to the main straight and pits if you are specifically selected and emailed. You can still attend without registering and if you turn up early you may possibly get selected and directed to park there.

No you don't... A few on the MLR phoned and they said as long as your with the theme your get in

Lovely weather this morning (although a little chilly to start with).

Really enjoyed it today. It was very nice to meet you all and Glad to finally put a few faces to the names.

+1 on the comments :agreed:, nice to meet up again, really enjoyed the morning, even managed to stop briefly at Pease Pottage to meet Baz and some of the Sussex crew. Looks like they were having a good turn out also?

Really want to see SES on track next Saturday,especially CJ`s shake down! Just have to persuade my boss I`m not needed :fight:

Yes it was a good day and the weather stayed on our side nice to meet everyone again .

lol, just cos you weren't driving :lol: I was half asleep still at 7am (didn't get to bed until 1am...)

Hope nobody had any trouble with the local plod on the way out, I booted it coming out of the Goodwood entrance then spotted a police biker right opposite :doh: and there was another up the road plus a couple of cars parked up on the next junction eastbound waiting to tug people.

It's a de-restricted bit of road at the entrance to the circuit so should be ok :) no wheel spin? :D

I put the foot down in 1st through the tunnel coming out of goodwood so that everyone standing outside could hear the blitz exhaust and dump valve lol

Oh man that's poo. Is it completely gone? Am I right in saying the 5 speeds are stronger?

I got followed for the last few miles there in the morn by a unmarked police car

Sorry to hear that mate, hope you get it sorted as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Really enjoyed that. Nice drive there and back in the sunshine, a good mix of cars and lots of familiar faces (didn't see you there though Steve: would have said hello if I did!).

Applying for the online pass was a waste of time though: seemed to be a free for all getting in! :lol:

Was followed by a marked car on the way home for a couple of miles, he then turned around and went back the other way.

Not a great way to end the morning. :(
