import
Evening guys and girls. Just a quick 1. How can you tell if your classic Scooby is an import??
|
I believe you can tell by the bolt on rear fog,
also by the scoob having a rear windscreen wiper. But I am not 100% sure There could also be chop sticks in the glove compartment. |

Aerial location, rear wiper, aftermarket rear fog , jap number plate are a big giveaway ;)
|
the vin number is how you tell
- UK vin numbers are 17 digits where as jap vin numbers are 10 digits ! |

oooohhh thankyou guys....
|
rear windscreen if original will also have a small blue circular sticker on it, which is the jap equivliant of our kitemark or BS standard. rear windscreens hardly get changed so if it's not there, it's probably not JDM
|
as above the VIN number is the easiest, all the rest can easily be changed/disguised........
|
Mines a JDM as it has Ariel on the rear passenger wing, rear wiper but no blue sticker in the window, previous owner must have removed it. I did have a fog light hanging down but I converted one of my reverse lights in the standard cluster to just tidy up the back end.

What year ?
Turbo or NA ? |
