Catback Exhaust fitment??

I plan to fit a new catback exhaust system this weekend and just wanted to know is it easy enough to do (I have no experience doing things like this) and do you guys have any tips or things i should do before hand to make it easier??

Also am i right in thinking there's no lambda sensors to worry about in the catback system??

Thanks in advance
Sam

Thanks for the advice mate, If you wouldn't mind a helping hand would be lovely (just in case lol) not sure when ill be doing it though, all depends if the car passes mot on Friday, hopefully give it a bash either Sunday or Monday.

Easy enough, should take about 20mins once car up high enough to get to bolts.
Take the whole system off together.
Release the 2 flange bolts where it bolts on behind the 2nd cat.
Release the 3 rear hangers from their rubbers
Release the single centre hanger from the rubber (do this last as it supports the weight while you mess around at the back).
Drag the system out
Assemble new system and refit in reverse i.e fit to centre hanger, rear hangers and then bolt to cat pipe.

P.S It may be worth having some spare M8 long bolts & nuts to hand, as quite often you find the originals don't fit through or are not long enough to reach when fitting an aftermarket pipe.

If yours has the spring bolts, get some new ones (about a tenner on eBay) as they have a habit of snapping!

Cheers guys, ill get some new bolts just in case.

Thanks again.

I don't bother with sprung fittings. Never understood what there supposed to do as you end up tightening the bolt up tight to the flange, so the spring ends up redundant.

Mines not tight on the Forester? Possibly depends on the centre you have fitted.

on the OE style system there is a little "flex" built in due to the donut type seal before the centre section
