SES Meet - The Fairmile, Cobham - Sunday 10th March

Going to get the list going for March's meet already as its a week or two earlier than our normal monthly slot - that's because we're having a joint meet with Surrey Scoobies at the Fairmile on Sunday 10th March. The meet starts at 12:30pm.

Surrey always have a good turnout and with SES going too, it should be a mega-sized meet :)

The Fairmile
Portsmouth Road
Cobham
Surrey
KT11 1BW

http://www.chefandbrewer.com/pub/fai...-cobham/p1206/

Surrey Scoobies have an agreement with the pub for all Jap cars to be able to park on the lawn. Anyone coming in anything non-Jap will have to use the main car park.

Cheers folks :ok:

555_Si 17-02-2013 07:45 PM

Mothers Day that day I think, just heads up for other people thinking of going, surprised the pub won't be packed out with that.

Used to go to Fairmile years ago with the Audi lot and also my mate in his Scoob.

Hadn't twigged it was Mothers Day, but Surrey always fix their meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month so it won't be shifted to another date.

We'll wing it :)

SpecB 18-02-2013 08:29 AM

Have to look nearer the date but plan to try to get there.

tbtstt 18-02-2013 10:46 AM

Look forward to seeing you guys there!

scotty 28-02-2013 08:31 PM

Found out that we are back that weekend which is goodnews so far but just need to find out what we will heading back to thetford on sunday before i can say i will be coming to the meet .

Steve_PPP 02-03-2013 10:36 PM

BUMP

Time to get the list going for this meet, Surrey Scoobies already have 10 cars attending, plus Essex Scooby Crew (ESC) are coming over too (8 cars on their list so far).

Would be good for SES to take a big group along to make it a huge meet

Bolesroor 02-03-2013 10:59 PM

Cannot make this, working.:-(

SpecB 03-03-2013 07:11 AM

Sorry cant do this one, 1st race of the season!

BIG"E" 03-03-2013 09:12 AM

ScoobyStu 03-03-2013 03:14 PM

SamSTI 03-03-2013 05:55 PM

I'll be there as long as the Scoob passes MOT on Friday.

Steve_PPP 07-03-2013 09:52 PM

Surrey now have 19 or 20 cars on their list, anyone else interested?

scotty 08-03-2013 12:52 PM

See you there :)

There's normally a quite a few who turn up without putting there names on the list

Steve_PPP 09-03-2013 11:36 PM

Bump.

If its dry tomorrow morning and i get a chance to put some rear windows back in the scoob, then i'll be in that. If its raining and/or i'm lazy, then i'm afraid i'll be in the Mondeo and parking with the riff raff.....

555_Si 10-03-2013 08:42 AM

so as to not risk a big argument with her indoors, i think i may have to miss this, she is not impressed that i want to goto a meet on mothers day and skip family get together.

as i spent most of yesterday out with steve collecting scooby bits, i feel i must obey today, sorry guys.

i will keep trying to grind her down this morning, but i don't hold much hope.

have a good one.

Steve_PPP 10-03-2013 08:44 AM

Wuss

I'm up early to try and get the car finished in time!

Steve_PPP 10-03-2013 07:39 PM

Well, a very cold meet today up at the Fairmile. Didn't count the scoobs as we went indoors to warm up after a while but i know a few more turned up after i took these quick photos:

Good to see some of the Surrey guys too :ok:

SpecB 10-03-2013 07:41 PM

Too many plates!! Looks a good turn out!

Steve_PPP 10-03-2013 07:49 PM

Tbh this one wasn't much of a joint Surrey/SES meet, it was a Surrey meet with a couple of extras i think! Essex guys didn't come in the end, they've postponed until Surrey's April meet.

Cold weather and mothers day didn't help. Back to normal for next months i'm sure :)

Anger 10-03-2013 08:52 PM

16 scoobs and some Evo in the End

I counted twenty-one Scoobs, an Evo and a Mondeo (squirrelled away).

Good showing on a chilly Mothers'Day.

555_Si 10-03-2013 10:06 PM

sorry guys, the girlfriend won, but she bought me the Brembo's yesterday so I musn't complain. Will catch up at next SES meet.

I tried buying that redish classic last year in august I got hold of the guy once to question about the car but then tried all weekend to view it could not get hold of him so I moved on. The guy rang back 2days later as I was out buying the white 1 that i have now. its funny how theses cars get around and u notice them. I even paid money for a my car check which all come back clear.

I'm glad you were as I'd not heard your car running. Very nice. :-)

Apparently, when you blipped the throttle before turning the car off the nearby horses were spooked. That's proof of a healthy exhaust note.

tbtstt 11-03-2013 09:29 AM

Nice to see some cars from SES at the meet. Pity the weather wasn't a bit kinder, but at least the pub was warm!
