differnce between newage and classic downpipes
hi all i have picked up a complete 3" classic system just wanted to know the differnce compared to newage(downpipe) it has 2 holes on turbo flange one big one small will this restrict? also has a muffler and resonator in centerpipe what will this do? obviously want as much freeflow as poss cheers neil

Sounds like you have a downpipe with separate parts for main and wastegate, twin dump I believe they are called. Should be ok as long as the divider does not foul the wastegate.

good stuff! yeah the wastegate pipe is seperate, it eblows off the flange back into downpipe! would this restrict over bell mouth? cheers

Different views from different people, it will be an issue if it fouls the wastegate when it opens

Hi there
You are probably have Divorced Downpipe, which looking like this http://www.goodspeedperformance.com/...e%20Subaru.jpg If you will have this, should be OK,but this will depends on the turbo what you are thinking to run,I've run only Bellmouth DP Difference between the DP,Classic DP is longer and New age is shorter, but if you will be using full exhaust will fit without the problem Jura |
the classic 3" is differnt to the above! il put a picture of it in my albums sorry still cant upload to this part yet, if there is a fouling issue to be aware of id probly be better off selling the whole fgk 3" system and buyin newage dp+cp? that way i should be safe without the issue; il take a pick now and see what you think thanks again chaps!

Just upload the pics and I'm sure people will confirm will fit yours. There is no difference between the Impreza DP(although Twin scroll DP are different) We are run classic exhaust on our wagon without the issue, classic exhaust will fit on any new age without the issue and will be safe Jura |
pics are in my albums sorry for the hold up cheers!
