Blanking off dump valve question

Just wondering if I was to completely block off the dv would it cause any harm to my car? Its a standard 03 wrx sti type uk, only engine mod it's got is a blitz panel filter and a forge recirculating dv.

Only reason I ask is I hardly get any sound from the forge one and I was kinda after the "flutter" noise, I've got some different springs for the forge one to so if I changed the spring would it make a sound?

The car runs fantastic with it at the mo, much better than the standard recirculating one so if it was blanked off would it change that too?

Thanks Andy

VF turbo's are not as strong and can't be rebuilt if they fail, so I wouldn't myself

Not sure but I think you would also need it mapped for the change, and as James said the VFs are a bit fragile for it.

Thanks guys dosent look like I'll be doing that then lol would changing the spring make any difference? It came with a hard and a soft spring and 2 spacers so what would happen if I change that?
