Fault Code

Got a Fault Code today of 0546 Exhaust Gas Temp.

Cleared it, quick blast, hasnt come back?

Any Ideas?

erm, I think that sensor is there to detect if your cat is on fire. I was told the sensor wasn't needed on my classic when I fitted an aftermarket down pipe that didn't have a boss for it. Not sure if it's the same for newage too

EGT sensor on the uppipe, do you still have the standard uppipe Nick?

Mine catted uppipe started blowing so changed to a STI uppipe (decat). You can bin the EGT sensor completely if you have something to bung the hole with, just needs a resistor bridging the plug to prevent the check engine light from coming back on.
