Any one tried one of these???
Just seen these cheap dump valve's on the bay of E and wondered if anyone on here had any tried them and if they are any good, usually i shy away from stupidly cheap things but i tried a cheap dump valve before on another car and it worked better than the bailieys i had fitted and at the mo i cant afford a HKS, so come on them what you's lot think?

Not that I know anything about dump valves but copied this from a post by Duncan at RaceDynamics he posted on Scoobycity a while back re upgrade path for Scoobs. :ok:
"a vent to atmosphere dump valve will not improve the performance but if you must fit one for the sound then stick to a good make - forge have always been good from what I have seen. "(Baileys are less so) |
Get a forge, they're not that expensive

+1 Forge
|
Had a baileys on my bug sti with no problems, but think it runs a bit smoother without.:drive:

I had a forge re-circ and it sounded like a wrought iron gate clanging shut every time it dumped, bloody terrible sound.
I guess that sound gets absorbed buy the 'TISHHHHH' of a VTA.... |
I,m sure I have one around the came with my bigger tmic. the dv has never been used and the tmic is of the car as I am fmic now.

I have a GFB Respons and can't fault it... well made, fully adjustable to full VTA or full recirc and the spring tension just takes an allen key to adjust :)
But... it's expensive... SWMBO bought it for my birthday though :) Also +1 for Forge, had one before and their after sales support is superb - they sent me a free full servicing kit for a Forge valve I bought off ebay! J. |
