Cambelt kits

Heya, i've decided to get the cambelt done on the impreza while I'm having the clutch done, just wondering would the kit be the same in both WRX and STi engines?
My number plate brings up WRX parts with suppliers but has the STi engine so worried I'll end up buying the wrong kit!!

You should be ok if you use your engine number mate

All the same. Just make sure you go for a gates or dayco belt.

Awesome thank you :) Any tips on the best value for money place to get them? Seem to be getting huge differences in prices for seemingly the same kit, I've been going for the gates option with all sites

I had a gates and it seened to show wear after 12,000mls.
Now I have a GGR belt and is much chunkier and robust.

Import car parts are the best place to get them from, I've never had any problems with gates belts & have fitted about 200.

if your belt is showing wear after 12K then there is something amiss.........

Gates are the OE supplier to Subaru (as well as being the largest belt manufacturer in the world so they tend to make good quality kit)

we supply most belt kits/belt that are available

How much would a kit be for X649 ABV? :)
