Unfortunately the barge wasn't low on fuel but thought i'm not gonna miss this opportunity, so 4 x 10lt jerry cans and a top up and i'm £80 lighter :-)

You were lucky to get away with that.

New laws say one jerry can only to be filled and put in vehicle according to Tonbridge Sainsburys Petrol Station Manager who walked out onto forecourt to bollok me for smoking and being on the phone whilst filling up :(

worzel 14-02-2012 11:44 AM

LOL, I like to see H&S being ignored with such style mate :ok:

:D although phones have been proved to be no risk at all :boom:

andy-m 14-02-2012 01:16 PM

smoking inst a risk either. get a cup ful of petrol n put a lit cigarette in it n the cig just goes out ! (And yes I mean petrol, not deisel).
needs to be a naked flame or hot spark to get petrol going

Granby 14-02-2012 01:24 PM

Very true, isn't it the vapor from the petrol that ignites :zoiks:

simba 14-02-2012 02:22 PM

been to t wells with a jerry can !!

yes, but even then it has to have the right air/vapour ratio I believe.
i suspect unless you attempt to use the underground tank's vent pipe as a bong, you should be ok lol

Steve_PPP 14-02-2012 06:43 PM

Went to get the scoob out the garage to fill it up then rememebered i did it last week and its not moved since

So no need for cheap vpower here!

andy-m 14-02-2012 07:20 PM

its a load of crap, went to my local on the way home n it was only 3p cheaper

Williams 15-02-2012 04:21 PM

Wish I noticied this yesterday... I was going to fill up from 1/4 like normal yesterday but was too hungry so carried on straight home. Damn :(

Bigtel 15-02-2012 06:50 PM

I ended up doing a 30 mile round trip as the nearest shell forecourt was shut!!

Worth it tho (Although not financially!), roads were nice and quiet at 8pm :ok:
