Last couple of series have been bit a lacking, so I hope this one is better. Certainly a couple of interesting looking car comparisons there (X-Bow Vs. Caterham Vs. Morgan!) and, believe it or not, I'm quite looking forward to their feature on NASCAR.

bigemp 27-01-2012 07:43 PM

Looking forward to it:doubleup:

Bolesroor 28-01-2012 12:43 AM

`I'm quite looking forward to their feature on NASCAR` +1  :ok:

Gavsti555 28-01-2012 05:49 PM

Can't wait. I've been watching the American topgear and that is as funny as.

munk 28-01-2012 08:33 PM

Fully agree, wasn't that struck on the Aussie Top Gear but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the US Top Gear.

(Though I'm slightly biased in that I quite rate Foust as a driver)

Yeah, the last couple of series have definately seemed quite forced, hope things improve.

thepieman 29-01-2012 05:39 PM

Proper Sunday nights again:nod: not the same without topgear:doubledown:

Nige 29-01-2012 09:03 PM

Bloody Fantastic :EVO:

BIG"E" 29-01-2012 09:09 PM

I enjoyed that.

Which one then the Lambo, Mclaren or Noble?

I want to drive those tunnels..

Steve_PPP 29-01-2012 09:27 PM

For some reason i really like the look of that Noble.....

Good episode, although Will.I.Am is a cock. But an improvement after the christmas special :ok:

Guy B 29-01-2012 09:27 PM

Lambo all the way for me :ok:

Gavsti555 29-01-2012 09:48 PM

Lamborghini !!!!!

tbtstt 29-01-2012 10:19 PM

Really enjoyed that, hope thats the rest of the series is at that standard.

First time in a long time that I've really liked all three cars in the test. Which one would I pick?... I do really like the look of the Lambo (and it gets bonus points for the blue flamage!) but I've always preferred the Gallardo over the Murcielago, so I'd say no to the Aventador as I'm sure a baby Lambo with the same styling is on the way.

Despite the criticism about it being too clinical I think the McLaren is an awesome bit of kit... but its the Noble that wins for me. I liked the older Nobles (especially the M400) and I like the M600 again. The grey replacement one in that film looked stunning (plus the turbo chatter sounded excellent!)

Granby 30-01-2012 12:14 AM

I want blue stuff out the exhaust :-D

worzel 30-01-2012 08:58 AM

I really enjoyed that last night, big hopes for the rest of the series.

bigemp 30-01-2012 09:36 AM

was a good first episode and sod it will have all 3 of them super cars, wont be able to fit in any of them but will look bloody good on the driveway

thepieman 30-01-2012 12:19 PM

Was a good first show:nod: hope the next few are as good or better though, always worrying when the first one's a good watch....

The replacement Noble was sooooo much better looking than the broken one but still wouldn't want one:nono:

Love the Lambo because its a Lambo I suppose:ok: but if its the same build quality as the Gallardo:angst: then thats a :nono: such a let down:cry:

Leaves the Mclaren:10: for me:polish:

Mad Paddy 30-01-2012 05:17 PM

enjoyed the show, and lets hopes it gets better and better

Williams 30-01-2012 05:28 PM

I'd have to say the Lambo wins for me. Got to respect Noble's customer service skills though!

Agreed on the Lambo, looked and sounded outrageous. As for the replacement Noble, I suspect it was good 'our car is on Top Gear and has broken' customer service rather than their normal way of doing things.

That said the guy who delivered it to Hammond must have had one hell of a rip down to Italy.

tbtstt 05-02-2012 06:46 PM

Don't forget, its on again in an hour! Hammond does a feature on NASCAR tonight, should be interesting to watch.

Nige 05-02-2012 06:52 PM

One of the valves going? :p

Full props to Hammond for the NASCAR feature. Makes a pleasant change to see some intelligent commentary on the sport rather than the usual "its just turning left" line you normally get (usually from people who've never actually watched a full race ).

Williams 06-02-2012 10:37 AM

I thought it was again a very good episode. The Chinese copies were hilarious!

majorscooby 06-02-2012 10:50 AM

Yeah a good episode last night what with the NAS car info, didnt realise how basic those cars are! ,the chinese bit was a tad boring towards the end though.

I will have you know its a top of the range telly. Granby was spot on though.

worzel 06-02-2012 10:57 AM

I love a drop of NASCAR, so I really enjoyed Hammonds bit last night.

Another good show though, I even enjoyed the Chinese bit at the end :ok:

I thought the China feature could have been better (that three wheeled thing looked awesome though! http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/foru.../icon_lol3.gif), though I think the point it made was certainly valid. Look at where the Japanese motor industry started post WWII and where that has ended up (though I guess the floodgates are not quite as open here as they were in the 70's).

bigemp 07-02-2012 11:32 AM
