What would you do.

My lovely wife has bought me a red letter day gift for Christmas. The dilemma I got is I can't decide what I want to do. Rally Or single seater race? From what I've read up on most of it'll be classroom talk and blah blah blah. And about 20-30 min of actual driving. Just wondered what the general public would do?

If it's up at Brands then I'd go for the Rally. I've done most of the courses at Brands and the Rally is the only one that you're allowed to give the car some whelly and throw it around. As you rightly piont out a considerable amount of the time is given over to classroom talk but if you pay attention you'll get a lot more out of the car.
I'm on track the 28th Jan Village Day (residents only) M3's, Caterham, JPLeman, Rally and 4x4 off road.

Enjoy your day

Not sure if it is the same thing had a single seater drive at Goodwood, had one lap as a passenger + one lap driving in an alfa first, then three laps in the single seater (2 litre) good fun very similar to a go-cart. (approx ten ish minutes total driving). Also had a rally experience 3 laps as a passenger in lotus elise, then three laps driving in a rally spec subaru impreza. If you go for the rally one check to see if it is off road or on tarmac, the one that I went on was on tarmac and only about six minutes driving total!
PS: they also tried to scare you into paying another £10 for extra insurance on the rally one. Have fun.:-P

A few people have said about brands. But that's hasn't even came up on the list of venues. The closest one is Essex or Northampton.
