Advice on start-up after non-use.

Hi, The Scoob`s :scoob: been tucked away in the garage for a few weeks now and I am really apprehensive about just starting her up :paranoid:.

Can anyone advice me on the Do`s and Dont`s` please?

(NB: the battery is on a trickle charger, hand brake left off etc)

Thanks,
Steve

I would treat the engine as though it's just had an oil change if it's been standing for any length of time. Unplug the cam sensor and spin it over for about 20 seconds, then reconect and start.

Might not be necesairy, but can't hurt assuming thats ok for a new age (I know its fine to do on a classic)

on a classic, its on the passenger side top cam wheel. would think its in the same place on a newage too. Should be sitting just behind the cam belt cover on the top of the head

yes its in the same place, i wouldnt spin over for too long just untill the oil pressure light goes out.
