One for the Plane Fanatics

Spent a day last week at RAF Conningsby, talking to the guy's about end uder use of our equipment.
When we went to talk to 3 squadron they were just about to do a 'See off', so grabbed a high-vis and some ear defenders and got about a close to a moving typhoon as I'll ever get

Wow that's pretty damn close.
Can't imagine what it's like to actually be a pilot of one , what a job

Awesome bit of kit, seen the Typhoon in action quite a few times (at air shows obviously!) and been nothing less than totally impressed.

Nice pics and video Silversurfer!

How close were you to this. You must have been part of the ground crew to get so close to the action, so massive respect for being able to do what only the pros can do and get so close to the action. Like so many others I have seen this in action at a number of airshow across the country and it is very impressive piece of kit, especially if it is full loaded for bear...:10:

Yep I was with the ground crew. Spent the morning in the maintenance bays, just think JRM workshop but with typhoon's instead of car's (not allowed any pic's in there tho').

A bit of time in the Officer's mess...Wat...Wat.....

Then with the Ground Crew of 3 Squadron in the afternoon.
