squeaking
 

I have noticed a squeak coming from the rear drivers wheel.It tends to happen when going around a bend.Jumped up and down on the back a doesnt make the noise ,so i guessing its not suspension.
Any ideas ,both i start taking things apart?

see if you can move the rear droplink slightly side to side. if it has any movement then thats what it will be and will need replacing

might be wheel bearing

wheel bearings rumble when there going and dont squiek

Could it be slightly warped disc or sticking caliper???

Ok the squeak has now changed,i am guessing its one of the rear shocks as it does squeak when i jump up and down in the back.
it has kyb shocks on it ,is there a way to regrease them?
also are there any grease nipples at the rear that i should look for?

No grease nipples on any Subaru & the KYB's can be stripped down & re packed with fresh grease.

Anyone got a link on how to regrease the shocks please

Ok,I still have this squeak and its driving me mad!!!
The shocks were squeaking so I sprayed some white wax on them and this seems to have solved the problem(short term fix I know,but i will regrease them when i get time)

But i do still have squeak/noise coming from drivers rear wheelsounds metal on metal,so whilst changing the diff oil,I replaced the drop links,checked the brakes and greased everything that looked like it needed greasing and them some.
But the bloody squeak is still there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So know I am guessing that it somehow could be connected to the handbrake.so what i need to know how do i get to the handbrake(at the wheel) or if anyone has any other ideas?

quite easy actully..
remove whell and unbolt brake caliper and pull of the disk!

my old green classic had a metal on metal noise an turned out to be knackerd disks.
thay looked fine but inside the disks are handbrake shoes that use the inside of the disk as a drum and it was the inside part that was worn out.
definatly worth removeing disks just to inspect if nothing else.

so I dont have to undo the big nut in the centre then ?

no thats just the hubnut on the end of the drive shaft.
the disks are floating.its just the caliper and pad carrier that holds it on after wheel removed
