Project 2.35
After my 2.1 went bang 3 months ago after 2000 miles at 503bhp, ive now got Stew@ TFS Racing to build me a 2.35 cdb build.
Power wise im aiming the same, 500/500ish would be nice :D 2.2 block http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../Mobile045.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../Mobile046.jpg Turbo wise it made sense to rotate at the same time MD321V compared to GT30 http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...r/GT30R001.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...r/GT30R002.jpg Have a Hyperflow Monster FMIC to fit aswell and also picked up other parts like bigger rear diffuser, Bride seats and RCM exhaust http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...r/Seats002.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...r/Seats003.jpg RCM Exhaust http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...ger/RCM001.jpg And how the Trooper looks at the mo http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...2_270961_n.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18..._1224173_n.jpg Will update as much as possible when things change James |

Scoobs and Evo 's go pop as much as each other even in bog standard form, The early evo had crank walk, all scoobs eat bearings (mine did and was 100% standard)
I'm on the fence with both these cars as love scoobs but got a soft spot to own a evo3 at some point, its just all jap turbo's pulsar's are the same but more weaker lol along with 200sx. Anger your car does look great tho and the s202 spoiler suits it big time , should be puka when built then.. |

Little Update
Brides are in and fitted the Hyperflow Monster FMIC Stew has all the bits to start the build now and should hopefully be starting next week Just a couple of pics of me spraying the fmic and the old Hybrid to show difference in size http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18..._2181061_n.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18..._5050922_n.jpg |
Blimey mate, just a little bit bigger then :-)
|
Weighed both and without the bumper bar the monster weighed slightly less :)
Never liked the gaps or route of the Hybrid mate |
Our cars should be ready about the same time ish. As mine needs a map. Mmm Dave Rowe or James Rumsey both very good with Motec. Then Germany {MMMWWWAAAAHHA} evil laugh.
|

Engines built and ready to drop back in, would have been in but someone forgot to order the gaskets i was suppose to order :D Car should be back with me later this week, just need Simon to put a base map on and then to start the running in Wrapped the headers with a different wrap that you dont need to wet and no itching after :) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...anifold045.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...anifold044.jpg |
Looks like the Magma wrap I have to go on my downpipe - not sure about the cable ties though! ;)

James is your system RCM and am I right in saying it has no silencers at all
|
Silenced middle section mate... theres a pic in post 1 ;)
And yes full RCM |
Oh yeah, see that now. I'm getting the getting system :-)
|
That exhaust looks puka,
|
Great stuff mate and enjoy the drive to Plymouth today.
Although i have to agree with Nige, even with a mid-silencer surely its going to get noticed at the Ring barriers with that back pipe? |
If ive driven all the way to Plymouth without my Mother moaning it cant be bad... Same cant be said about the seats lol
823 miles done |
Got to be worth taking a spare back box , just in case mate.
Long way to go to not get on. Hey Nige :-) |

1016 miles completed..... thats half of all my miles last year
Ready for 11am |
Quote:
oh, and good luck tomorrow with the mapping :ok: |
Roads were clear... less than 4 hours back from Plymouth with no boost is not bad, with fuel stops and on the A303
|
Well ????????
|
Its rather quiet on here, come on James dont keep us in susspence
|
Been keeping an eye on Facebook too in case he puts the results on there
|
glad its sorted anger, wot about some pics of them lush bride seats.
|
I told it made so much power, it created a temperal time vortex and took James and car back in time a day. He's currently still running it in....again 8-)
|
JAMES!!!!! Come on mate, put us out of our bloody misery you git!!
|
Fook No lol
Wastegate was to small and held it back, but saying that i was happy with the result :D 494bhp 450lbs/ft at 1.7 bar on V-power with smaller exhaust housing 63. So more to improve with bigger wastegate and meth ;) Now it seams ive made myself ill with lack of food and sleep, had to be helped out of the car when i got home.... not good So big thanks to Stew and helpers at TFS and Simon/Charlie for all there help at Surrey rolling road today Night night James |
wicked mate,nice results :D
|

Top notch mate, good job :worthy:
Well worth the hard work and hours put in matey :ok: And with more to come from it, you must be pretty bloody happy  Now go and kick that short northerners butt! |
Well done mate good figures. Bet your glad you didnt break it now! Hard work done now let's go to meet some Germans & enjoy.
Oi Worzel im not short, a little Rotund maybe  |
Good figures - bet it spools up quick too! Have a good run!
|
mmmmm looks rather tasty dude, feel free to pop round mine at 3am and make as much noise as you like seeing as the neighbours round my way think its fine to let their kids out at 6am screaming and shouting ;-)
|
Safety devices 6 point roll-cage with door bars should be with me in the next few days
The car is going to do the E$$EX Tunnel run and then is coming off the road for the winter Things to do list Strip all weight that isnt needed out Lose most of the stereo gear Paint inside Fit Roll-cage List will grow over the winter :D |
Wish I could of done a group buy for the cage lol
I take it the carpets & rear swat are staying out then ? Good luck with the list :) |
There is something missing off that list! It starts with an M & has an O in it.:ninja:
|
Mushroom... Mogwai :boom:
|
MOGWAI??? I have no idea what that is but it did make me laugh. Try saying it really fast five times Ha! Ha!
|

blimey how long did that take!?
what sort of cage are you putting in? |
ive been doing it an hour here and an hour there mate... prob about 5 hours in total
All the front is stripped as well now Ive got a Safety devices roll cage from a Time Attack car :) |
Nice one James, Going to be fully caged then for Germany
|
Quote:
Should look pretty smart and serve its purpose too! |
The car had a few grand spent on Stereo equipment before I got it and they went a bit mad with sound deadening.... Dynamat is a bitch to get off compared to the normal subaru stuff mate
|
Must of shed a few kilos tho, are you going to do anything else interior wise once the cage is in?
I'm sure i've seen a couple of imprezas with the spare wheel well cut out?? |
Will be stripping the back doors and cutting the spare wheel well but will prob wait till later in the year with so much coming up fast
|
Been after a spare set of wheels and just got these :D
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88...219_144308.jpg |
Genuine bbs challenge? Very nice, would be my wheel of choice on a p1 but just as nice on a newage
|
Compomotive cxt's mate
|
All sound deadening removed, couldn't believe it was on both skins of the rear doors, they have gone from sounding like a Golf to a classic
Roll cage should be installed for the weekend and my Rotas have gone off to Maggs at Ruislip tyres for a refurb and a change of colour Nearly ready to start the interior painting soon what will do a lot for the looks, still deciding if to cut the spare wheel well out as I can't be arsed to fabricate another backbox hanger Will update pics later in the week |
I like the wheels mate. :EVO:
|
Think the hearse needs lowering now.... Two scoobs to mod Do'h
