Project 2.35

After my 2.1 went bang 3 months ago after 2000 miles at 503bhp, ive now got Stew@ TFS Racing to build me a 2.35 cdb build.

Power wise im aiming the same, 500/500ish would be nice :D

2.2 block

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../Mobile046.jpg

Turbo wise it made sense to rotate at the same time

MD321V compared to GT30

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...r/GT30R002.jpg

Have a Hyperflow Monster FMIC to fit aswell and also picked up other parts like bigger rear diffuser, Bride seats and RCM exhaust

Yeah going fine, no issues with it (it's not an Evo), at the time with afew issues it wasn't worth it but now it's done it's def worth it, I know alot of people get fed up with there builds when they run into issues but it's def worth sticking at it. Don't really get over your way much now but if I get a spare evening I might pop over lol

Scooby_Greg 19-07-2011 11:20 AM

Good luck with the build James - look forward to seeing it up and running again. Still loving those Brides....

Steve_PPP 19-07-2011 11:24 AM

worzel 19-07-2011 11:52 AM

Rich two years of going to the Ring 4 Scoobs with blown engine's. One in flames at the side of the track on my 1st visit . Bad Build & wrong turbo did for me + some bad luck. Not the cars fault. Im sure if i had the same build on a Scoob it would of been the same story. Anger is only having this build now as his went bang. Was that down to it being a Subaru or a bad build? Anyway glad yours is running well Rich & may it stay that way.

scooby doo 19-07-2011 02:21 PM

Scoobs and Evo 's go pop as much as each other even in bog standard form, The early evo had crank walk, all scoobs eat bearings (mine did and was 100% standard)

I'm on the fence with both these cars as love scoobs but got a soft spot to own a evo3 at some point,

its just all jap turbo's pulsar's are the same but more weaker lol along with 200sx.

Anger your car does look great tho and the s202 spoiler suits it big time , should be puka when built then..

Another one is the rx7, as soon as a tip goes thats it lol, but got to say its probably one of the easiest engines to rebuild :-)

Blimey mate, just a little bit bigger then :-)

Anger 04-08-2011 08:20 PM

Never liked the gaps or route of the Hybrid mate

Nige 04-08-2011 08:29 PM

Our cars should be ready about the same time ish. As mine needs a map. Mmm Dave Rowe or James Rumsey both very good with Motec. Then Germany {MMMWWWAAAAHHA} evil laugh.

Anger 28-08-2011 10:26 PM

Nige 28-08-2011 10:34 PM

That exhaust looks puka,

Steve_PPP 29-08-2011 10:41 AM

Great stuff mate and enjoy the drive to Plymouth today.

Although i have to agree with Nige, even with a mid-silencer surely its going to get noticed at the Ring barriers with that back pipe?

Anger 29-08-2011 04:52 PM

If ive driven all the way to Plymouth without my Mother moaning it cant be bad... Same cant be said about the seats lol

823 miles done

Crowman 29-08-2011 06:27 PM

Got to be worth taking a spare back box , just in case mate.
Long way to go to not get on.

Anger 29-08-2011 11:58 PM

Nige 30-08-2011 06:58 PM

Crowman 30-08-2011 07:03 PM

Mortster 30-08-2011 08:59 PM

worzel 30-08-2011 09:22 PM

JAMES!!!!! Come on mate, put us out of our bloody misery you git!!

Anger 30-08-2011 09:23 PM

AndyWRX 09-09-2011 10:42 PM

mmmmm looks rather tasty dude, feel free to pop round mine at 3am and make as much noise as you like seeing as the neighbours round my way think its fine to let their kids out at 6am screaming and shouting ;-)

Anger 05-10-2011 05:48 PM

Safety devices 6 point roll-cage with door bars should be with me in the next few days

The car is going to do the E$$EX Tunnel run and then is coming off the road for the winter

Things to do list

Strip all weight that isnt needed out
Lose most of the stereo gear
Paint inside
Fit Roll-cage

List will grow over the winter :D

C. J. 05-10-2011 07:05 PM

Wish I could of done a group buy for the cage lol
I take it the carpets & rear swat are staying out then ?
Good luck with the list :)

Nige 05-10-2011 08:31 PM

There is something missing off that list! It starts with an M & has an O in it.:ninja:

Anger 05-10-2011 08:39 PM

Mushroom... Mogwai :boom:

Nige 05-10-2011 08:48 PM

MOGWAI??? I have no idea what that is but it did make me laugh. Try saying it really fast five times Ha! Ha!

Anger 05-10-2011 08:54 PM

Think of Gremlins Nige ;)

worzel 06-10-2011 11:05 AM

Is it....

Moist?
Mingehole?
Mahogany?
Missionary?
Moonpig.com?

Give us a clue Nige!

Nige 06-10-2011 01:06 PM

I had to pm him in the end. It's all a bit hush hush. :ninja:

what sort of cage are you putting in?

Anger 12-03-2012 12:25 PM

ive been doing it an hour here and an hour there mate... prob about 5 hours in total
All the front is stripped as well now

Ive got a Safety devices roll cage from a Time Attack car :)

That's a lot of graft!

Should look pretty smart and serve its purpose too!

Anger 15-03-2012 07:21 PM

The car had a few grand spent on Stereo equipment before I got it and they went a bit mad with sound deadening.... Dynamat is a bitch to get off compared to the normal subaru stuff mate

Tomma 15-03-2012 08:15 PM

Must of shed a few kilos tho, are you going to do anything else interior wise once the cage is in?

I'm sure i've seen a couple of imprezas with the spare wheel well cut out??

Anger 15-03-2012 08:25 PM

Will be stripping the back doors and cutting the spare wheel well but will prob wait till later in the year with so much coming up fast

Anger 15-03-2012 10:40 PM

Been after a spare set of wheels and just got these :D

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88...219_144308.jpg

Hongkongfooi 15-03-2012 10:47 PM

Genuine bbs challenge? Very nice, would be my wheel of choice on a p1 but just as nice on a newage

Anger 15-03-2012 10:58 PM

Compomotive cxt's mate

Anger 25-03-2012 08:30 PM

All sound deadening removed, couldn't believe it was on both skins of the rear doors, they have gone from sounding like a Golf to a classic

Roll cage should be installed for the weekend and my Rotas have gone off to Maggs at Ruislip tyres for a refurb and a change of colour

Nearly ready to start the interior painting soon what will do a lot for the looks, still deciding if to cut the spare wheel well out as I can't be arsed to fabricate another backbox hanger

Will update pics later in the week

Nige 25-03-2012 09:18 PM

I like the wheels mate. :EVO:

Anger 25-03-2012 09:19 PM
