Yep had one of those, and if you can get past the hairdresser image. They are superb cars and one of the best value an nicest cars I have had to date. They are bang on the money in terms of looks inside and outside and still a modern looking car. Build quality if just superb as you would expect from Audi. 4 wheel drive, handles well unless you want to track it. And cheap and chips to buy now and bullet proof reliability.

The turbo spools very soon and quickly which makes for a nice road car.

They are basically and Audi S3 in a different shell and the S3 is a very highly regarded car.

I will probably end up with another one day.

Oh, and I can map them from the 225bhp to 270bhp and lots of torque which then makes for a car that is subaru STI quick.

Only point to note on the early tt's is the fuel gauge is know to have an issue and you need to change the sender on the fuel pump which is submerged in the fuel tank (Scary job if you do it yourself like I did). They can misread and give dodgy readings and is a known issue. Apart from that bomb proof.

Not really too keen on them tbh they just look too small for a performance car :-(

My old man just sold one which I use to use and it was an awesome car, great build quality, wasn't nowhere near as quick as my scooby but they have alot of potential

Looks v.nice. The stage 1 map is for a manual, but would have to check about Auto if you ever wanted to consider this. But likely the same map.

As standard they are nippy quick, but the stage 1 map makes a big difference circa 50bhp and can't remember the exact figure but best part of 100 more torques. The engines are forged internals as standard and be known to be good for 350bhp on stock internals and still going strong.

Only other thing worth a mention is the sweeping roof line and bucket seats might make getting in and out and little tricky for you, especially if your a tall fella. They not the most practical of cars with a small boot and 2 rear seats only good for little children or shopping.
