Is there a limp home mode?

Hi all can anyone confirm if there is a limp home mode on a classic turbo 2000 face lift model?
A pigeon decided to go suicidal after hitting another car and ended up sticking to my radiator!
I ended up after a night shift driving down the motorway on the hard shoulder at 30 mph!
After a while the revs built up and it seemed to run smoothish?
I managed to pull the bird out but there was feathers all over radiator.

I going to have a look over the car after I have a sleep anything I should look out for?

There is a limp mode but this limits boost to 0.5bar or rev to about 4000rpm. violent fuel cut kicks in above that. not sure if a bird in the rad would do this unless it took out any electrics or vacuum/boost hoses.

There is a limp mode, engine light on, reduced boost and rev limit of 4 k is what you will get if in limp mode.
Bloomin wildlife :-)

Engine light did not come on but the revs did drop but came back up slowly. I did have the violent kick in and out when trying to accelerate.
I will check hoses and rad for leaks before I go back to work

cheers guys

Found a split vacuum hose which must have caused the limp home mode all working now just need to road test.

Thanks guys!
