Anyone know of a good printer ?
I'm pissed right off buying printers. I've just worked it out that the last three years expense of printer purchases, ink cartridges and breakdowns equal another 93.6 bhp in the P1, and that ain't funny !
We buy the best available from the normal outlets (Currys) etc, but all are fooking pants. Anyone know of a place that sells proper printers that stay reliable ? Thanks |
I'm a good printer
What's the main use Clive? Is it heavily used or just occasional? |
1000 ish docs printed per month.
Invoices / RAMS / Diagrams / Pics etc |
A3 /A4 ?
Networked or stand alone Wireless? Laserjet or inkjet Lots of questions but it was my game for about 10 yrs. Steve is our SES print guru though for sure |
So you are talking 40-50 documents a day roughly.
Questions again mate (sorry) Do you print everything at full resolution? As mentioned by Martyn, A3 & A4? |
Pardon the intrusion but CROWMAN, check thread in Gallery *Who remembers this" :)
A4 50 a day would be about right. Photo quality required Stand alone Can be wireless Inkjet |
The dilemma you have is (as I'm sure you are aware) cheaper machines = higher ink costs and then vice versa.
I personally wouldn't touch anything like a Lexmark. Nor would I give any time to one of the alleged "photo quality" colour printers. It's worth your while getting across to PC World in TW. They are well stocked in some of the better machines. Talk to someone in the business centre over there instead of someone out on the shop floor. :ok: |
Something like this? It's laser though, not inkjet.

Oki or Agfa are good, but maybe little bit overkill.
Jura |
Oki would have been my choice too Jura, just not enough print to justify the initial outlay. Or potential contracts.
